Daryl D. Waage, age 73 of Argyle, WI passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at Lafayette Manor in Darlington, WI. He was born July 25, 1943 the son of Orville and Mary (Mason) Waage. Daryl lived in the Argyle area his entire life where he worked in the shipping department at Dorman Cheese Company in Monroe, WI, from 1968 until 1986. He later went on to work at Argyle Industries West Side Plant from 1986 until his retirement in 1994.

Daryl is survived by two brothers: Gary (Teresa) Waage of Janesville, WI, and Ronald (Diane) Waage of rural Argyle; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother: Mary on July 22, 1986; and his father: Orville on November 1, 2004.

Daryl served in the United States Army from 1962 until 1965 and was stationed in Germany. He truly loved the outdoors and spent most of his free time hunting and fishing. He was also an avid history buff and would often be seen reading different military accounts throughout history. Daryl will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his family and friends.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at Erickson Funeral Home (801 Milwaukee Street, Argyle) with Rev. Daniel L. Bohlman of Yellowstone Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be in Yellowstone Lutheran Church Cemetery where military graveside rites will be accorded by Argyle American Legion Post #251. A visitation will be held on Saturday from 9 A.M. until time of services at Erickson Funeral Home. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.ericksonfuneralhome.com.
