MONROE - Dale Lyle Williams, 73, of Monroe, WI, passed away Tuesday, September 10th, 2013 at his home surrounded by family. He was born in Kent Township, IL on October 7, 1939 the youngest son of Ernest Rheinhold and Edith (Atz) Williams. He graduated from Winslow High School in 1957 and served in the U.S. Air Force from 1957-1961. Dale went on to own a dairy farm in the Lena - Winslow, IL area. He was such an outdoorsman he then went to work for the Monroe Country Club Golf Course doing the grounds and maintenance work upon retiring from farming. In the year 2000 Dale and Gloria sold their farm and moved to the Monroe, WI area. Dale was an active member of the Monroe Branch of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, serving in various church positions and repeatedly coming to the aid of anyone in need.

He is survived by his wife Gloria Elaine Griffin, whom he married on June 28, 1959 in Lena, IL, a brother Harry (Sally) Williams of Platteville, WI, and sister Gloria (Loyal) Heid of Rockford, IL, three daughters, Larinda (Keith) Power of Verona, WI, Cheri (Brian) Johnson of Windermere, FL, Trisha (Kurt) Zarefoss of Middletown, MD, nine grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Irma (Ray) Eder.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, September 16, 2013 at the Leamon Funeral Home in Lena, IL.

Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until time of service on Monday.

Officiating will be Branch President Eric Oaks.

A memorial has been established in his name.
