Peter Victor Cramer, 31, Monroe, signed a $2,000 signature bond Sept. 18 on a Class H bail jumping charge and a Class A misdemeanor charge of resisting or obstructing an officer. Court records indicate an officer saw Cramer operating an ATV off an approved ATV trail on Aug. 24 in the 1100 block of 15th Avenue in Monroe and when the officer tried to stop him, he took off running. He has a preliminary hearing Nov. 1.
Timothy Wayne Shetler, 31, Duluth, Minnesota, was charged Sept. 7 with four Class I felony counts of failure to pay child support between October 2014 and November 2016. A warrant is issued for his arrest.
Randall Scott Zuber, 39, Monticello, was charged Sept. 7 with battery to a law enforcement officer, a Class H felony, and throwing or discharging bodily fluid at a public safety worker or prosecutor, a Class I felony, and with two misdemeanor counts each of disorderly conduct and resisting or obstructing an officer. The charges together a maximum prison term of 11 years, six months, and stem from an early morning incident the same day outside a Monroe tavern and then at Monroe Clinic. Court records indicate that during his arrest on six warrants, Zuber was intoxicated, refused to obey police demands and told an officer, "I'll bite your head off." Later, at Monroe Clinic, he was uncooperative and resistive and spit on an officer and medical staff. He signed a $400 cash bond with the conditions that he not consume alcohol or go into bars or liquor stores. He has a preliminary hearing Oct. 10.
Kyle J. Wescott, 36, Loves Park, Illinois, was charged Sept. 12 with six Class I felony counts of failure to pay child support between April 2011 and August 2017. A warrant is issued for his arrest.
Michael B. Bowling, 21, Monroe, was charged Sept. 22 with strangulation and suffocation, a Class H felony, as well as misdemeanor counts of disorderly conduct and battery, stemming from a domestic dispute Sept. 10 in the 1300 block of 15th Avenue in Monroe. He was allegedly physically violent with another man. Together, the charges carry a maximum prison sentence of seven years. A warrant is issued for Bowling's arrest.
Misdemeanors
Raymond Lee Anderson, 52, Janesville, was charged in August with misdemeanor counts of disorderly conduct, battery, driving with a revoked license and taking and driving a vehicle without the owner's consent. The charges stem from a domestic dispute Aug. 19 in the W700 block of Ten Eyck Road, Town of Decatur. Anderson allegedly threw a woman to the ground and grabbed her forcefully, and took her car. Police reports indicate he had been drinking. He signed a $2,000 signature bond with conditions that he not drive without a valid license, consume alcohol or enter bars or liquor stores. He has a pre-trial conference Nov. 21.
Timothy Joseph Schwarz, 32, Brodhead, was charged Sept. 12 with retail theft and two counts of bail jumping, all misdemeanors. Court records indicate on July 10 at Piggly Wiggly, 1604 1st Center Avenue, Brodhead, Schwarz put a $14.99 bottle of Fireball whiskey down the front of his pants and left the store with it, in violation of his deferred prosecution agreement on a disorderly conduct case from 2016. His initial appearance is Oct. 9.
Lisa M. Vesperman, 54, Belleville, was charged Sept. 13 with a Class B misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct, stemming from an incident Aug. 16 at her home in the W2700 block of Fonda Lane. Court records indicate deputies responded to a 911 call from the residence and found Vesperman was intoxicated and arguing with a family member. Her initial appearance is Oct. 2.
Maurice Darnell King, 47, Blanchardville, was sentenced Sept. 20 to 10 days in jail and ordered to pay $543 on a Class A misdemeanor battery conviction, stemming from an incident May 2 in the 1100 block of 2nd Street in New Glarus. Court records indicate King swung a baseball bat at a man he knew because he was upset over a loan of bail money.

Belletiere, 35, Monroe, was sentenced Sept. 21 to 45 days in jail and ordered to pay $945.30 on Class A misdemeanor convictions of criminal damage to property and resisting or obstructing an officer, stemming from an incident Feb. 13 at his former residence in the W2900 block of Jordan Road in rural Juda. Court records indicate he returned home drunk, punched two holes in the wall, broke a dresser, vomited in a child's bedroom and was resistive with police. In a victim impact statement, the homeowner wrote the court that Belletiere caused $270 in damages and needs counseling for alcohol abuse and anger management.
Neil Patrick Husom, 26, Dodgeville, was charged Sept. 22 with a Class A misdemeanor count of issuing a worthless check. Court records indicate he wrote a worthless check in the amount of $118.56 on June 5 to NAPA Auto Parts, 2405 1st Center Ave., Brodhead. A warrant is issued for his arrest.
Frederick A. Ballard, 65, Monticello, was charged Sept. 25 with a Class B misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct, stemming from a domestic incident Sept. 4 at his home in the 400 block of East Coates Avenue. Court records indicate Ballard called police to report a woman hit him in the head with a hammer, but an investigation revealed he had been the one swinging a hammer and threatening to smash her cellphone and possibly hit himself in the process. She was uninjured. A breathalyzer test showed Ballard had a blood-alcohol concentration of 0.3 percent, nearly four times the legal limit for driving in Wisconsin. His initial appearance is Oct. 23.
James Mitchell Doyle, 31, Belleville, was charged Sept. 25 with two counts of posting or publishing a depiction of a person without consent and two counts of bail jumping, all Class A misdemeanors. Court records indicate Doyle posted a nude, sexually explicit photo of a woman to her Facebook timeline as a way of "getting back at her for all their child custody issues." When she deleted it, he allegedly reposted the photo. His initial appearance is Oct. 23.
Regina Marie Mauel, 58, and Jeff Scott Mauel, 49, both of Brooklyn, were charged Sept. 25 with one Class B misdemeanor count each of disorderly conduct, stemming from a domestic dispute Sept. 1 between the husband and wife at their home in the N9400 block of Legler Road. The dispute started two days earlier over a meatloaf, according to the criminal complaint. Jeff complained about her meatloaf taking too long and she responded that "if he did not like it, then he could cook, clean and do other chores around the house." The hostility escalated two days later into a physical confrontation. Regina told deputies she was "fed up with his drinking" and that he taunted her so much she threw a can of soda at him and started hitting him. She said she was ashamed of her behavior, "especially in front of the kids." The Mauels have initial appearances Oct. 23.
