• Amanda F. Fox, 30, Marathon County Jail, was found guilty of felony forgery in May, revoked her probation in August and was sentenced Wednesday to nine months in local jail with the option to serve her time in Marathon, Portage or Green counties. Court records indicate Fox forged a check for $160.29 at Stop-N-Go in Monroe; $224.37 at Kwik Trip in Monroe; $61.97 and $220.47 at Francois Oil Citgo in Monticello; and $262.91 at Ampride in New Glarus. She bought cartons of cigarettes with checks written over the amount so she could get cash back. Fox owes restitution of $1,970.
