Antonio Joseph Addison, 21, Monroe, pleaded no contest Jan. 10 to felony bail jumping and a Class A misdemeanor charge of criminal trespass to a dwelling, plus he had his deferred prosecution agreement revoked on earlier charges of felony bail jumping and misdemeanor battery. Seven additional charges of felony bail jumping were dismissed as part of a plea deal. He was sentenced to three years on probation with conditions that he undergo all recommended treatment and counseling, submit a DNA sample to the state and pay all court costs. He is eligible to have his convictions expunged under a state law that grants leniency to young offenders. Court records indicate he punched a 17-year-old girl in 2016, leaving her with a two-inch bruise, and then repeatedly violated court orders that he not have contact with her. The victim told police he was stalking her and barged into her apartment in April 2017.

Richard Anthony Niemeyer Jr., 47, Shullsburg, was charged Feb. 7 with a Class I felony count of possessing methamphetamine, stemming from an incident Feb. 3. Court records indicate Niemeyer dropped a baggie containing 0.2 grams of meth on the check-out counter while buying groceries at Turpin's Hometown Grocery in Shullsburg. He admitted that he dropped the baggie but said his daughter left it on a table at his home and he put it in his pocket. Niemeyer signed a $1,000 signature bond in the case, with conditions that he not possess or consume nonprescription controlled substances or any prescription medicine for which he does not have a current prescription. His adjourned initial appearance is March 12.
