Kimberly A. Pitman, 43, and Donald Pitman, 48, both of Winslow, Ill., face drug charges after an officer stopped a vehicle they were traveling in May 23 on Wis. 23 in the Town of Cadiz for allegedly crossing the center line. The officer called for backup, including a K-9 unit, which sniffed around the car and alerted his handler to the potential presence of drugs. Police searched the car and found 0.4 grams of cocaine and a glass pipe tucked under where Donald Pitman was sitting. He is charged with misdemeanor counts of possessing cocaine and drug paraphernalia. Police searched Kimberly Pitman's purse and allegedly found a pill bottle, prescribed to another individual, that contained 58 5-mg Oxycodone tablets. She faces a Class I felony count of possessing narcotic drugs. If convicted, she could face a prison sentence of 3.5 years, $10,000 in fines, or both. They were both arrested and taken to jail. Court records indicate Donald Pitman posted a $350 cash bond May 26 and Kimberly Pitman signed a $1,000 signature bond May 28 that orders her not to take any nonprescription controlled substances. She has a preliminary hearing July 14. He will make his initial appearance in court July 20.

Theresa Bezdecny, 39, Madison, was charged with a Class B misdemeanor count of domestic abuse-related disorderly conduct Tuesday for allegedly scratching a man she knows to the point of drawing blood May 29 in New Glarus. Court records indicate she signed a $500 signature bond Wednesday. She is ordered not to reside with the victim or have any violent or abusive contact with him. Bezdecny reportedly went to the man's residence to drop off a dog. He was not home when she arrived but returned to find her rummaging through papers and photos in his home office. When she tried to leave the room and he wouldn't let her pass, she allegedly scratched him, pulled his hair, attempted to kick him in the groin area and bite him. She was arrested, taken to the hospital to get a medical clearance for a cut on her forearm and transported to the Green County jail.
Matthew Teasdale, 41, Monroe, was charged with a Class A misdemeanor count of battery and a Class B misdemeanor count of domestic abuse-related disorderly conduct Wednesday for allegedly shoving and verbally berating a woman he knows May 16. According to police reports, the woman went out with a friend May 15 and when she returned home, Teasdale shoved her and began yelling and swearing at her. When she attempted to leave, he allegedly followed her outside and grabbed her arm, trying to force her back inside. He was arrested. Court records indicate he posted a $350 cash bond May 16. He has an initial appearance June 15.
Nathan J. Schreck, 27, Durand, Ill., was charged with a Class B misdemeanor count of domestic abuse-related disorderly conduct Wednesday for allegedly yelling at a woman he knows May 2 and slamming his shoulder into the locked door to her residence in Monroe. The woman told police she and Schreck were arguing and she signaled that she wanted him to leave by tossing his shoes and wallet in the hallway outside her apartment. He retrieved the items, police reports indicate, but when he tried to get back in she was closing and locking the door. He ran into the door, bending its locking mechanism to the point that the door could not be opened. He was arrested. Court records indicate Schreck posted a $150 cash bond May 5. He has an initial appearance June 15.
