FELONIES

- Rudy W. Ammon, 42, Juda, pleaded no contest Friday, June 22, to a Class B misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct and was fined $510. A Class H felony charge of child abuse was dismissed. Court records indicate Ammon got physically violent with a 14-year-old girl in January at a residence in the W2500 block of Preston Road in the Town of Jefferson.

- Sara Marie Lawrence, 20, Monroe, faces a Class H felony charge of forgery and a Class A misdemeanor charge of bail jumping stemming from an incident in April. According to a criminal complaint and arrest warrant filed Thursday, June 21, she attempted to cash a forged check for $200 at Sugar River Bank in Monroe, 250 N. 18th Ave., and in doing so, violated bail conditions on misdemeanor theft charges from 2011.

- Gregory Richard Stevens, 46, Monroe, has an initial appearance scheduled July 16 on Class H felony charges of driving while intoxicated and driving with a prohibited blood-alcohol concentration (both fifth offenses). According to a criminal complaint filed Monday, June 25, Stevens drove in January in Albany with a blood-alcohol concentration of .234.

- Marquis Mekhi-Isaiah Phiffer, aka Marquis M. Mayo, 18, Monroe, faces a Class I felony charge of delivering THC (marijuana) and a Class A misdemeanor charge of theft via false representation. According to a criminal complaint and arrest warrant filed Tuesday, June 26, Phiffer sold a 5.3-ounce baggie of marijuana for $50 to an undercover agent in the 500 block of West 21st Street in March and took $130 from an undercover agent in April in the 700 block of 12th Avenue for a half-ounce of marijuana he did not deliver.

MISDEMEANORS

- Brett B. Granzow, 22, Albany, pleaded no contest Tuesday, June 26, to three Class A misdemeanor charges that he wrote worthless checks totaling $300 in May 2011 to the Center Tavern in Albany, 108 N. Water St. He was sentenced to 30 days in jail with Huber Law work-release privileges and two years of probation. He was assessed $2,165 in restitution costs and owes the court $528 in court costs and other fees.

- Jason S. Deery, 38, Belleville, stood mute Tuesday, June 26, on a Class B misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct stemming from an alleged domestic disturbance the previous Friday with a woman in a car on Wisconsin 92 in the Town of Exeter. A not-guilty plea was entered on Deery's behalf and a signature bond of $500 signed Wednesday, June 27. He has a pre-trial conference scheduled August 7.
