• Brittany N. Mellem, 25, Monticello, was found guilty due to a guilty plea of disorderly conduct on Wednesday; she also had one count of public fornication dropped. Mellem owes a forfeiture fine of $392. Court records indicate that on Aug 16, police were patrolling the area around the boat landing in the 500 block of County F, Decatur Township, and found Mellem and a co-defendant, John A. Beilharz Jr., disrobed and on top of one another. The two were both nude in a grassy area in plain view of the highway. Beilharz, 29, Beloit, was also found guilty of disorderly conduct on Wednesday and fined $642.
