Green County
Misdemeanors
- The Court Jan. 13 issued a bench warrant for Adam John Dundee, 28, Monroe, who failed to appear in court for a sentencing hearing for disorderly conduct.
Court records indicate Dundee, on or about July 31, 2010, became violent and swore at the Monroe Clinic Hospital emergency room where he was being treated.
He was charged with disorderly conduct, a class B misdemeanor. He faces 90 days in jail and $1,000 in fines.
He was free on a $500 signature bond.
- The court Jan. 11 sentenced Daniel Lee Bates, 23, Freeport, to two 18-months probations and fined $160 for two counts related to taking and driving two vehicles without the owners' consent.
The probations are to run concurrently and with parole in the state of Illinois.
Court records indicate Bates, on or about, Jan. 12, 2009, in the parking lot of Walmart in Monroe, rode in a vehicle that he knew was stolen, and he drove a second vehicle from the parking lot without the owner's consent before abandoning it, undamaged, less than 24 hours later.
Both counts are class A misdemeanors. He faced $20,000 and 18 months in jail.
Bates plead no contest to the charges Jan. 11. The court dismissed, on the prosecutor's motion, one count of driving a vehicle without consent, a Class I felony, which carried a sentence of $10,000 and more than 3 years in prison.
