MISDEMEANORS

- Logan Lee Hermanson, 28, Monroe, pleaded no contest and was issued a one-year deferred prosecution on Monday, Feb. 13, for a Class A misdemeanor charge of battery. Court records indicate he beat his girlfriend, then two months pregnant, in November. Related charges of disorderly conduct and strangulation/suffocation were dismissed. Terms of his deferred prosecution include payment of $343, monitoring conferences and anger management and domestic abuse counseling.

- Linda Michelle Swedlund, 39, Monroe, pleaded no contest and was sentenced on Tuesday, Feb. 21, to two years of probation on misdemeanor charges of bail jumping stemming from incidents in August, September and November. She was also fined for an August charge of disorderly conduct. Other charges of bail jumping and a second disorderly conduct charge from August were dismissed. Terms of her probation include an alcohol and drug assessment and any recommended treatment, continued mental health counseling, taking all medication as prescribed, not possessing or consuming any intoxicants and payment of all court and supervision costs.

- Eric L. Runaas, 21, Albany, pleaded no contest and was fined $204.50 on Tuesday, Feb. 21, for a charge of causing damage to a car in Monroe in June. Initially classified as a misdemeanor, the charge was later downgraded to a forfeiture fine.

- Jesus R. Lopez-Roblero, 23, Madison, pleaded guilty on Wednesday, Feb. 22, to a Class A misdemeanor charge of resisting or obstructing an officer and his third offense of driving while intoxicated, both stemming from a Dec. 24 arrest near Monticello. He was sentenced to 10 days in jail. He owes the court $3,187.

- A Class B misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct, stemming from a Sept. 10 incident in Brodhead, was dismissed on Wednesday, Feb. 22, against Lee Lynn Thomas, 39, Janesville. The charge was not proven and she is presumed innocent.

- Leo Joseph Happ, 51, Monroe, pleaded no contest on Thursday, Feb. 23, to a Class A misdemeanor charge of battery stemming from an October arrest at his home. Court records indicate he beat a woman. A charge of disorderly conduct was dismissed. He was granted a 15-month deferred prosecution, ordered to undergo anger management and domestic abuse counseling and fined $330.
