Emily Renee Malin, 29, Albany, had a signature bond set at $2,500 Monday with additional conditions that she have no violent or abusive contact with Monroe or Albany police and the Monroe Clinic staff and is also barred from drinking and doing drugs. Malin is charged with a felony count of battery to police officers and a misdemeanor count of bail jumping, stemming from an incident that occurred Nov. 24. If convicted for the maximum penalty, Malin could face up to six years and nine months imprisonment or $20,000 in fines or both. She has a preliminary hearing set for Dec. 11.

Benjamin W. Houghton, 33, Albany, had a signature bond set at $2,000 with additional conditions that he not drink or possess alcohol and must obtain a valid driver's license. Houghton is charged with driving while intoxicated, third offense, driving while revoked, fourth or subsequent offense, and failure to install an ignition interlock device. The charges stem from an incident that occurred Nov. 24. Police reports indicate Houghton crashed his vehicle into a ditch on County OK south of Ten Eyck Road, Town of Decatur, and was transported to Monroe Clinic ER for possible injuries. He has a pretrial conference set for Jan. 14.
David M. Baumgartner, 52, South Wayne, was released on a $300 signature bond with additional conditions that he have no contact with the Trail Site Inn in Browntown. Baumgartner is charged with one count of disorderly conduct stemming from an incident that occurred on Oct. 4. Court records indicate Baumgartner allegedly got into a fist fight with a co-defendant, Dennis Carpenter Jr., after Carpenter allegedly touched one of the dancers at the Inn. During the fracas, Carpenter allegedly hit one of the bartenders and choked another before he fled the scene. Baumgartner has a pretrial conference set for Feb. 16.
Jon Maxfield Dickenson, 28, Brodhead, was released on a $300 signature bond with additional conditions that he have no violent or abusive contact with the alleged victim. Dickenson is charged with domestic abuse-related disorderly conduct and dissuading a victim from reporting a crime stemming from an incident that occurred on Oct. 31. If convicted for the maximum penalty, Dickenson could face up to one year imprisonment or $11,000 in fines or both.

Giselle Louise Carlsen, 30, Madison, had a signature bond set at $5,000 Monday for charges of delivering illegal articles to an inmate. The charges stem from an incident that occurred Oct. 6. If convicted for the maximum penalty, Carlsen could face up to seven years imprisonment or $20,000 in fines or both. She has a preliminary hearing set for Dec. 17.

Bryan S. Wehe, 24, Winslow, was released on a $1,000 signature bond for charges of theft of moveable property less than $2,500. The charge stems from an incident that occurred on May 1. If convicted for the maximum penalty, Wehe could face up to nine months imprisonment or a $10,000 fine or both.
Nicholas E. Roberts, 33, Benton, was released on a $3,000 signature bond with additional conditions that he not drink or do drugs, enter bars or liquor stores and submit to breath and blood tests as requested by law enforcement. Roberts is charged with driving while intoxicated and driving with a prohibited blood-alcohol concentration, both fourth offenses, resisting an officer, possession of marijuana and driving while revoked, stemming from an incident that occurred Oct. 18. Police were originally called to assist with an altercation in Shullsburg. He has an initial appearance set for Dec. 8.
