Beth B. Butts age 84 of Browntown, died Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at her home. Beth was born January 14, 1930 in Elizabeth, IL, the daughter of Leon and Naomi (Juliun) Baley. She was a graduate of Lena High School. Beth married Delbert Butts on March 14, 1949 in Lena. She helped her husband farm in Cadiz Township for 45 years before moving into Browntown in 1990. She was a member of Peace United Church of Christ, Browntown, and the Homemakers for many years. Beth was a hard worker who loved spending time with her family. She also enjoyed bowling and cooking.
She is survived by her husband, Delbert; three children, Bradley (Evelyn) Butts, Randall Butts, and Barbara (Robert) Hauser, all of Browntown; seven grandchildren; one great-grandson; and a special niece, Nancy Grebner of Warren, IL. She was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2014, at 11:00 a.m., at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 1329 31st. Ave., Monroe followed by a luncheon at the Monroe American Legion, 1627 12th. Ave. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services. Kindly omit flowers.
