Battling the Blaze
Juda firefighter Gene Vetterli battles the blaze of a Volkswagon Golf that had become engulfed in flames at a property on Radio Lane shortly after 2 p.m. Sept. 1. The owner had noted issues with the car and was driving on the property while working on fixing it when the fire started due to unknown causes.
Property owner Gary McGrath lifts the vehicle with a fork lift to allow fire fighters to reach the flaming bottom of the vehicle before moving it from the scene. McGrath declined to comment.
