Barbara J. Robertson age 77, of Monroe, died on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at Pleasant View Nursing Home. She was born on July 10, 1935 in Monroe, the daughter of Wilson and Ada (Aeschlimann) Foley. Barbara graduated from Monroe High School.
Barbara and Merle Robertson were married on June 13, 1953 at St. John's United Church of Christ.
She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ. Barbara enjoyed playing her guitar and singing in her younger years. She taught guitar lessons to many children in Monroe. She looked forward to having coffee with her friends at Chocolate Temptations and shopping. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband, Merle Robertson, son, John (Mary) Robertson, daughters, Laura (Mike) Molitor, Anna "Birdie" (Rich) Frontz, Julia "Bitsy" DeNicola all of Monroe, grandchildren: Jason Robertson, of Kansas City, KS, Joseph Robertson, of Denver CO, David Robertson, of Buckeye, AZ, Michael Wang and Brandon Frontz of Madison, Bailey (Carey) Bowen and Derek Wang of Monroe.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son, James Robertson, sister, Vicki Simons, nephew, Dennis Wiesenberg, aunt, Anna Burkard.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, April 27, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home with Rev. William T. Mike Heath officiating. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery at a later date.
Visitation will be Saturday, from 11:00 A.M. until time of service at the funeral home.
A memorial fund will be established in Barbara's memory.
