Arthur J. Olson, age 91, of Monticello, WI, passed away Sunday, April 7, 2013, at St. Clare Friedensheim Assisted Living in Monroe. He was born March 1, 1922 in Adams Township, WI, the son of Lewis and Anne (Berg) Olson. Art was united in marriage to Marion Zimmerman on December 29, 1945 at St. John's United Church of Christ in Monroe. He lived and farmed in Lafayette and Green County areas until 1968. Art then went to work for Argyle Industries in Argyle and later Federal Industries in Belleville, WI. He was united in marriage to Mildred Severson on December 2, 1972 at Blanchardville Lutheran Church. In 1978, he moved to Monticello where he has resided since. Art was united in marriage to Bernice Miller on February 25, 1995 at St. John's United Church of Christ in Monroe. He also enjoyed working at the Chalet Cheese Co-op for his son, Myron, up until age 85.

Art is survived by his wife: Bernice of Monroe; five children: Kristine Olson of Blanchardville, WI, Ann (John) Meade of Blanchardville, Sylvan (Jan) Olson of Monticello, Myron (Geri) Olson of Monroe, and Neil (Val) Olson of Beaver Dam, WI; two step-children: Vickie (Dick) Ward and Mary Beth Lindstrand; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren with one due in April; 4 step-grandchildren; 4 step-great-grandchildren; and one sister: Ruth Anderson of Monroe. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife: Marion on January 2, 1970; his second wife: Mildred on October 16, 1986; three brothers-in-law: Colbjorn Anderson, Lawrence Nipple, and Nathan Zimmerman; and one sister-in-law: Lorella Marty.

Art was a member of Adams Lutheran Church. He was a man of few earthly treasures, but had the greatest treasure of all, a loving family.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 10, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. at Adams Lutheran Church, N7148 County Road A in Adams Township, WI, with Rev. Rick Fry officiating. Burial will be in Adams Lutheran Church Cemetery in Adams Township. A visitation will be held Wednesday, April 10, 2013, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church.
