Arlene D. Bosben, age 90 of Plover, entered eternal life with her Lord and Savior Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at Whispering Pines Home in Plover under the care of Ministry Home Hospice. Funeral services for Arlene were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 2, 2011 at the Shuda Funeral Home in Plover. Rev. Dee Webber officiated. Visitation was from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home. Burial was in the Plover Cemetery. The Plover American Legion Auxillary of which Arlene is a member assisted with services at the cemetery.

Arlene was born April 10, 1921 in Monticello, WI, the daughter of Jacob and Madaline (Lint) Disch. She married Duane C. Bosben on March 29, 1946 at Zwingli United Church of Christ in Monticello. They settled in Albion, WI for a few years before buying a farm in the Juda area. They operated the farm for many years before moving to Janesville. Arlene worked in the Food Service Dept. of the Janesville Public Schools. Upon retirement in 1985, the couple moved to Plover in 1986 to be closer to their daughter, Madeline, and her family. Arlene enjoyed baking, reading, bird watching, and gardening - especially taking care of her flowers. She loved being with her family and visiting friends.

She and her husband are members of Springs United Methodist Church in Plover.

She is survived by her husband, Duane, Plover, their daughter, Madeline (Ted) Osenga, Plover. Two grandsons: Matt Osenga and Mike Osenga (special friend, Cory Ourada) all of Plover, one sister, Elsa Paulson, Janesville and two sister-in-laws: Nanette Disch, Manitowoc, and Doris Disch, Monticello, and many special nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jacob and Madaline Disch and two brothers, Chester and Norman Disch.
