Ardith J. Moldenhauer, age 71, of Reedsburg, died Tuesday, September 15, 2009 at the Reedsburg Area Medical Center. She was born on June 29, 1938 in Caledonia Township, Columbia County, Wisconsin, the daughter of Dewey W. and Meta M. (Zunker) Schult. On December 31, 1955, she was united in marriage to Carl Moldenhauer in Nashua, Iowa. This marriage was blessed with four children. Ardith was one of the founders of the Albany EMS Service. While driving truck with her husband, they had traveled all 48 states.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carl on July 9, 2002; her brother, Lyle; and special pet dog, Princess.

She is survived by her children: Carl Jr. (Tena) Moldenhauer of Shullsburg, Michael Moldenhauer of Janesville, David (Londa) Moldenhauer of Brodhead, Jeanne (Alan) Baker of Arlington, Texas; 12 grandchildren: Donald, Jason, Jenny, Carla, Cassie, Chad, Shelby, Austin, Tryon, Chelsea, Alana and Anthony; five great-grandchildren: Unomi, Gabriel, Taylor, Tanner and Neal; three sisters: Edith Scherbert of Milwaukee, Caroline (Donald) Peetz of Reedsburg, Marlene (Edward) Larson of Wisconsin Dells.

A memorial service for Ardith Moldenhauer will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, September 19, 2009 in the Farber Funeral Home in Reedsburg with Michael Lopp officiating. Friends may call on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorials of remembrance may be made to Allograft Resources Organ Procurement in lieu of flowers.
