DARLINGTON - Ardith "Ardi" K. Liddicoat, age 66 of Darlington, WI, died on Sunday, April 12, 2015 at Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County in Darlington, WI. She was born on August 19, 1948 in Monroe, WI to Bernard & Helen (Toay) Peterson. She graduated from Darlington High School in the Class of 1966. On May 31, 1979, she married Roger A. Liddicoat in Monroe, Wisconsin, and that is where they started their family. Ardi and Roger were part of the Wentz Transportation family in Monroe for many years where they transported passengers and made lasting friendships. Later on in life, they moved their family to Darlington. Ardi will be remembered by many people as a character that they loved to be around. She had an amazing sense of humor and was quick witted with a come-back, so you had to be ready. She filled her time by working at Casey's General Store and Darlington Daycare. Wherever she went and wherever she worked, she made strong connections because of her fun loving personality. Ardi was an avid bowler (almost a pro), enjoyed playing softball, and loved spending time camping with friends and family. One of her favorite things to do was to go camping, where she always had the best spot under a shade tree. Many of her family's favorite memories were made around the campfire while they heard her chuckle in the background with a bottle of Diet Coke in her hand. She enjoyed having coffee at the Riverwood with friends and could strike up a conversation with anyone...especially if she could argue "about her beloved Chicago Bears" and joke with them a little. Although she was often happiest when she was surrounded by friends and family, she also enjoyed playing solitaire. She was excited to attend the recent Darlington Housewives' Convention and was always happy to reconnect with her classmates. Most of all, Ardi enjoyed her family, especially her many grandkids. She will be dearly missed but most importantly she will be lovingly remembered.
