Ann Niederberger, age 82, of Monroe, died on Friday, September 18, 2009 at U.W. Hospital in Madison, as the result of an injury. She was born on November 1, 1926 in Switzerland, the daughter of Isidor and Rosa (Ammann) Lottenbach. Ann and Franz J. Niederberger Sr. were married in June of 1951 in Iowa City, Iowa. Upon her immigration from Switzerland, she worked as a housekeeper in Iowa City at the Catholic Church parish; her most recent employment was for the Monroe Clinic Hospital. She was a member of St. Victor Catholic Church.

Surviving are her children: daughter, Ann (Dave) Haroldson of Monroe; son, Franz (Jill) Niederberger Jr. of Pine River; grandchildren, Ryan (Jasmine) Haroldson, Justin (Amber Halvorson) Haroldson, Brent (Brieanna Perock) Haroldson, Brenda (Bob) Tredinnick, Wendy (Brad) Mevis; granddaughter-in-law, Stephanie; great- grandsons, Kaeden Niederberger, Brady and Aaliyah Haroldson; step-granddaughter, Judi (John) Tucker; step-great-grandsons, Riley, Conner, and Caleb. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Franz Sr.; grandson, Paul.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, September 21, 2009 at St. Victor Catholic Church. Celebrant will be Fr. Michael E. Klarer. A visitation will be held on Monday from 10 a.m. until time of Mass at the church. Burial will be at a later date. Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home is serving the family.
