Alvin L. Pagel, age 87 of Albany, Wisconsin, died on Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at Monroe Clinic Hospital in Monroe. He was born on December 10, 1922 in Albany, the son of Fred O. and Mary (Anderson) Pagel and attended Albany Schools.
Alvin and Myrtle Arndt were married on February 23, 1952 in Mineral Point, WI. Alvin worked for General Motors in Janesville for 30 years and was a member UAW Local #95 in Janesville.
Surviving are his wife, Myrtle Pagel of Albany; sons, Harold Pagel of Waupaca, Mike Pagel of Brodhead, Jerry Pagel of Albany, and Roger Pagel of Albany; sister, Carrie Williams of Brodhead; 3 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents; son, Fred; brother, Oscar; and sister, Ethel.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home in Monroe with Pastor Pat Soddy officiating. Burial will be at Hillcrest Cemetery in Albany, WI.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, 1455 Mansion Drive and 18th Avenue in Monroe.
