Alvera Marie (Hauser) Haesler age 89 of Monroe, WI, formerly of Argyle, WI, passed away Saturday evening, June 6, 2009, at Monroe Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Monroe with her children at her bedside. She was born in Kaukauna, WI on April 13, 1920, to John and Sadie (Scott) Hauser. Alvera was united in marriage to John "Hans" Henry Haesler Jr on October 19, 1940, at Argyle Lutheran Church. She and John farmed on the Haesler's home farm near Argyle (Wiota Township) for several years and raised dairy cows, pigs, and had two horses named Dollie and Queenie. Alvera loved animals and had a pet pig named Susie. Upon retiring they moved to Woodford for several years and then moved back to the Haesler's home farm in 1995. Alvera was a member of Argyle Lutheran Church. Her greatest enjoyment was her children and grandchildren. Her talent of embroidery on pillow cases, table scarves, and doilies was perfect. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and a good friend. She always had a kind word for everyone and never said anything bad about anyone or anything. She was a "one of a kind" person and will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends.
Alvera is survived by four of her and John's six children: Marilyn Kueng of rural Edgerton, WI, Shirley (Emil) Seffrood of rural Monroe, WI, John "Butch" (Frieda) Haesler III of rural Argyle, WI, and Jim (Donna) Haesler of Monroe; nineteen grandchildren; thirty-three great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a sister: Edith Seffrood of rural Gratiot, WI; a sister-in-law: Norma Hauser of Shullsburg, WI; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
