Aaron R. Muralt of rural Monticello went to be with his lord and savior on August 8, 2017. Aaron was an accomplished farmer, retired teacher and Veteran of the U.S. Army. He was born on May 30, 1934 in Menominee, Wisconsin to Samuel and Mildred Muralt. He attended high school in Wells Minnesota excelling in academics and sports graduating in 1951. Aaron attended Wheaton College in Ill. Receiving a Bachelor Degree in education, followed by a Masters of Counseling from University of Whitewater. He moved on to teaching in the Rockford Ill. School system retiring after 48 years. He farmed with his family in southern Wisconsin for many years.
Aaron was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, and two former wives.
He is survived by former wife Anita Lundberg-Stanhope; and spouse Debra (Peterson) Muralt. Children, Billy (Greg Morritz) Muralt, Jeff (Darla) Muralt, Georgean (Roger) Hunt, Pamela (Mike) Parker, Mariann (Gerald) Rufer, Lisa (Tom Germann) Olson, Donna (Scott Bredeson) Muralt, Matt (Jenny ) Muralt. Aaron also has 20 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the University of Wisconsin Transplant foundation.
Funeral Services will be Monday, August 14, 2017 at Hilltop Community Church in Albany, at 12:00 Noon, with Rev. Michael Parker and Rev. Ron Hayes officiating. Burial will follow at the Gap Cemetery, rural Albany.
Visitation will be Sunday, August 13th from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the SHRINER-HAGER-GOHLKE funeral home in Monroe.
