Monroe Police

MONROE — Gary L. Hanson, 54, Monroe, was arrested on a first-offense charge of operating while intoxicated after police fielded a traffic complaint of a vehicle weaving in the roadway at 12:40 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 27. Officers located the vehicle on Wisconsin 69 at 6th Street and eventually stopped it. He was also cited for failure to maintain control of a vehicle, driving an unregistered vehicle and driving with a revoked license. He was released to a responsible person pending court. Hanson has a prior first-offense OWI charge from an arrest Aug. 25 in Monroe that is still pending in court.

●  Dennis E. Beutel, 48, Monroe, was arrested following an investigation into an intoxicated person in the 1300 block of 15th Avenue at 12:15 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30. Beutel was charged with bail jumping due to a violation of court-ordered bail conditions prohibiting intoxication. He was jailed pending court.


Green County Sheriff

MONROE — Timothy M. McNamer, 41, Blanchardville, was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct, substantial battery, strangulation and false imprisonment after deputes responded to a domestic abuse case at a residence in the N9000 block of Marks Lane, Town of York, at 6:36 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31. He was jailed pending court.


Albany Police

ALBANY — Marci S. McDermott, 43, Browntown, was cited Oct. 20 for speeding.

●  Chad R. Heins, 38, Albany, was cited Oct. 24 for driving with a suspended license.

●  Jeanie M. Collins, 31, Arena, was cited Oct. 27 for non-registration of an auto.

●  Tyler M. Kind, 21, Janesville, was cited Oct. 28 for driving with a suspended license.

●  A juvenile was referred Oct. 29 for a charge of disorderly conduct.


Brodhead Police

BRODHEAD — For the week of Oct. 21 to 27, police performed 14 security checks, 27 citizen assists, nine assists of other agencies, eight vehicle registrations and six follow-ups to incidents; responded to 34 calls for service, 14 EMS calls, eight 911 or BEEMS (Brodhead Elderly Emergency Monitoring System) calls and three fire calls; and made seven traffic stops. No mental health or detox transports were reported.

On Sunday, Oct. 21:

●  A Brodhead man, 48, was cited for not having vehicle insurance at 1:40 a.m. in the 1200 block of East 2nd Avenue.

●  Theft was reported at 2:39 a.m. in the 1500 block of East 3rd Avenue. A street sign had been removed from its pole.

On Monday, Oct. 22:

●  An Orfordville man, 67, was cited for unsafe passing on the right at 7:46 a.m. in the 2100 block of 1st Center Avenue.

●  A Brodhead man, 35, was cited for a heavy truck route violation involving an off-street parking restriction at 7:51 a.m. in the 400 block of 7th Street.

On Tuesday, Oct. 23:

●  Truancy was reported at 9:55 a.m. and again at 10:23 a.m. in the 2500 block of West 5th Avenue. Warnings was issued.

●  A Brodhead man, 22, was arrested at 8:02 p.m. in the 1000 block of 1st Center Avenue on charges of burglary and sexual assault of females ages 15 to 17 following an investigation into a report received Sept. 16.

On Wednesday, Oct. 24:

●  A driver was warned for failing to yield after police responded to a report of a traffic crash at 6:48 a.m. in the 1500 block of 1st Center Avenue.

●  A traffic offense involving a vehicle illegally passing a stopped school bus was reported at 5:26 p.m. in the 1700 block of East 2nd Avenue.

On Thursday, Oct. 25:

●  A subject causing a disturbance was reported at 1:33 p.m. in the 2500 block of West 5th Avenue. A warning was issued.

●  Subjects throwing rocks were reported at 4:33 p.m. in the 700 block of 11th Street. Warnings were issued.

On Friday, Oct. 26:

●  A Beloit man, 40, was cited for passing in a no-passing zone at 3:57 a.m. in the 1200 block of East 9th Avenue.

●  A domestic disturbance was reported at 8:51 a.m. in the 1500 block of West 6th Avenue.

●  Counterfeit money being passed at a business was reported at 11:50 a.m. in the 2400 block of 1st Center Avenue.


New Glarus Police

NEW GLARUS — On Monday, Oct. 22:

●  Helen J. Capellaro, 76, New Glarus, was cited for driving without vehicle insurance after she was stopped for a registration violation at 4:17 p.m. in the 500 block of Elmer Road.

●  A parking complaint was reported at 4:55 p.m. in the 300 block of 5th Street.

On Tuesday, Oct. 23:

●  A vehicle parked in the yard of a property on 10th Avenue was reported at 9:34 a.m. Police documented the complaint and forwarded it to Village Hall.

●  Police were dispatched to a medical call at 11:26 a.m. in the 600 block of 2nd Avenue.

●  Suspicious activity at a residence on 7th Avenue was reported at 12:16 p.m.

●  Juveniles trespassing at a business was reported at 7:56 p.m. in the 400 block of 2nd Street. The juveniles were warned to stay off the property.

●  Police investigated a suspicious person at 11:35 p.m. in the 300 block of Railroad Street.

On Wednesday, Oct. 24:

●  A vehicle parked on the street with an expired registration was cited at 8:15 a.m. in the 100 block of 10th Avenue.

●  A disorderly juvenile was reported at 9:48 a.m. in the 1400 block of 2nd Street.

●  A two-vehicle accident without injuries was reported at 3:39 p.m. in a parking lot in the 1700 block of 2nd Street. A Dodge Dakota had backed into a Toyota Prius. Both vehicles were driven from the scene.

●  Loud music was reported at 4:44 p.m. in the 200 block of 4th Avenue. Police made contact with the people playing the music and they turned it off.

●  Kyle F. Smith, 30, New Glarus, was cited for allowing a dog to run at large after police responded at 4:49 p.m. to a report of a dog running at large in the Tower Circle area.

On Thursday, Oct. 25:

●  Possible child abuse that occurred in the village was reported at 10:58 a.m. The juvenile was interviewed and then placed at an alternative residence based on statements of self-harm made while the incident was being investigated.

On Friday, Oct. 26:

●  Police were dispatched at 3:24 p.m. to a medical call in the 2400 block of Wis. 69.

●  A Pontiac-type vehicle traveling northbound on Wis. 69 without headlights was reported at 11:48 p.m. The vehicle was not located.

On Saturday, Oct. 27:

●  Police stopped and assisted a motorist who was parked near the intersection of Railroad Street and 6th Avenue at 7:26 p.m.

On Sunday, Oct. 28:

●  Allison D. Hotchkin, 23, Belleville, was cited for driving without a valid license at 12:16 a.m. in the 400 block of 11th Avenue.

●  Police were dispatched at 12:26 p.m. to a medical call in the 700 bock of Railroad Street.

●  Police assisted a motorist with a disabled vehicle at 1:16 p.m. in the 10 block of 6th Avenue.

●  A white female cat with a blue collar and bell was reported missing at 4:16 p.m. from a residence in the 700 block of 6th Avenue.


Darlington Police

DARLINGTON — On Wednesday, Oct. 24:

●  Amber M. Lincicum, 28, Benton, was cited for driving without a valid license and without vehicle insurance following a traffic stop at 12:39 a.m. on Louisa Street.

●  A three-vehicle crash was reported at 7:55 a.m. on Galena Street. Maria Galindo-Garcia, 42, Darlington was southbound when she failed to see a truck in front of her turning onto Center Hill Road. She rear-ended the truck, which was driven by a 16-year-old Darlington resident. After the collision, Garcia got out of her car without putting it into park and it rolled backward, striking a vehicle driven by Gena Davis, 37, Darlington. All three drivers were treated and released at the scene by EMS.  Garcia was cited for driving without a license. The Darlington Fire Department assisted at the scene.
