Brodhead Police
BRODHEAD — For the week of May 9 to May 15, police performed 56 security checks, nine citizen assists, four assists of other agencies, 11 follow-ups to incidents, 17 vehicle registration and six traffic stops; responded to 32 calls for service and reported four EMS calls, 18 911 or BEEMS (Brodhead Elderly Emergency Monitoring System) calls and two fire calls. No detox and one mental health transports were reported.
● Disorderly conduct was reported at 4:52 p.m. May 9 in the 1000 block of 19th Street.
On May 10:
● An animal problem was reported at 7:37 p.m. in the 1300 block of 1st Center Avenue. Caller was referred to Green County Humane Society.
● Officers located a dog at large at 10:04 p.m. in the 1200 block of 13th Street. The dog was returned. A verbal warning was issued.
On May 11:
● A gas drive-off was reported at 1:41 p.m. in the 1100 block of 1st Center Avenue. The driver returned to pay for gas.
● Physical disorderly conduct was reported at 2:50 p.m. in the 1200 block of 21st Street.
● A traffic crash was reported at 4:09 p.m. in the 800 block of East Exchange Street. A Brodhead man, 19, was verbally warned for inattentive driving and expired registration.
On May 12:
● Disorderly conduct was reported at 12:50 p.m. in the 1600 block of 20th Street. This remains under investigation.
● A gas drive-off was reported at 5:59 p.m. in the 1100 block of 1st Center Avenue. This remains under investigation.
● Suspicious activity involving possible gun shots was reported at 9:01 p.m. May 13 in the 100 block of 1st Street. Police found nothing suspicious.
● Verbal harassment was reported at 6:53 p.m. May 14 in the 300 block of 2nd Street.
On May 15:
● An Orfordville man, 36, was arrested on a charge of operating while intoxicated and operating with a prohibited blood alcohol content at 2:01 a.m. in the 900 block of 1st Center Avenue.
● A gas drive-off was reported at 3:10 p.m. in the 1100 block of 1st Center Avenue. Driver returned to pay for fuel.
● A gas drive-off was reported at 3:39 p.m. in the 1100 block of 1st Center Avenue. This remains under investigation.
● Officers located plastic debris in the roadway at 5:39 p.m. in the 1300 block of 1st Center Avenue. The debris was removed.
● A Janesville man, 21, was cited for disorderly conduct with a vehicle at 8:17 p.m. in the 2500 block of West 5th Avenue.
Monticello Police
MONTICELLO — Police assisted Monticello First Response and Green County EMS at 9:13 a.m. April 23 in Monticello.
● Suspicious activity was reported at 4:43 p.m. April 24 in the 300 block of South Garfield Street. Investigation is ongoing.
● A civil matter was reported at 12:11 p.m. April 26. The individual was advised to contact an attorney.
● Police assisted Monticello First Response at 10:18 a.m. April 27 in Monticello.
On April 28:
● Police responded with Monticello Fire First Response and Green County EMS at 11:11 a.m. in Monticello.
● Suspicious activity was reported at 9:16 p.m. in the 100 block of Wis. 69. Everything was fine.
On April 30:
● An animal problem was reported at 11:49 a.m. in the 200 block of North Main Street. A written warning was issued.
● Grass blown on the street was reported at 2:01 p.m. in the 100 block of West North Avenue. A warning was issued and the grass was removed from the street.
● A car vs. deer accident was reported at 2:04 p.m. on Wis. 69. It was turned over to the Green County Sheriff’s Office.
● A traffic complaint was reported at 8:58 p.m. in the 100 block of Wis. 69. Investigation is ongoing.
On May 8:
● A 911 misdial was reported at 1:25 a.m. in the 500 block of Washington Street.
● Emily L. Schunk, Mount Horeb, was cited for driving while revoked at 4:23 p.m. on West Coates Avenue and Wis. 69. A bail jumping charge was referred to the Green County District Attorney’s Office.
● Trenten D. Disch, Monticello, was cited for driving with revoked license at 9:52 p.m. on West Coates Avenue and Wis. 69.
● A dog running at large was located at 6:34 a.m. May 9 in the 200 block of North Main Street. The dog was returned. The owner was warned.
On May 10:
● A traffic complaint was reported at 8:17 a.m. on North Main Street and Lake Avenue. This remains under investigation.
● A license plate was found at 3:34 p.m. on East Wisconsin Avenue and Adams Road. The plate was returned to owner.
● Police responded to check welfare at 4 p.m. May 11 in the 400 block of Summit Avenue. It was found subject resides in Illinois. The appropriate agency was contacted to conduct welfare check.
● Dogs running at large was reported at 5:12 p.m. May 12 in the 200 block of North Main Street.
On May 13:
● Brett A. Grinder, New Glarus, was cited for illegal window tinting at 3:54 p.m. on North Main Street and East Coates Avenue.
● Trevor J. Mueller, Albany, was cited for no vehicle insurance at 5:17 p.m. on West Coates Avenue and North Monroe Street.
● Officers conducted traffic control for the Monticello Fire Department at 6:45 p.m. in the 100 block of North Main Street.
