Monticello Police

MONTICELLO — On June 18: 

●  Police responded to keep the peace while property was removed at 4:03 p.m. at a residence in the 100 block of North Main Street. 

●  Eugene A. Engebretson, Middleton, was cited for no proof of vehicle insurance and non-registration of vehicle at 7:14 p.m. on East Coates Avenue and Aeberhard Drive. 


Brodhead Police

BRODHEAD – For the week of June 13 to June 19, police performed 50 security checks, 28 citizen assists, 15 assists of other agencies, eight follow-ups to incidents, 14 vehicle registration and four traffic stops; responded to 28 calls for service and reported 13 EMS calls, 17 911 or BEEMS (Brodhead Elderly Emergency Monitoring System) calls and three fire calls. No detox or mental health transports were reported. 

●  Suspicious activity was reported at 5:05 a.m. June 13 in the 200 block of 1st Street. Police found nothing suspicious. 

On June 14: 

●  Police located an unoccupied vehicle at 1:25 a.m. in the W700 block of Golf Course Road. Nothing suspicious was found. 

●  A parking violation was reported at 3:29 p.m. in the 2100 block of West 5th Avenue. The vehicle was moved by owner. 

On June 15: 

●  A traffic crash was reported at 4:58 p.m. in the 2100 block of 1st Center Avenue. A warning was issued for failure to yield from a driveway. 

●  A parking violation was reported at 6:45 p.m. in the 2200 block of West 5th Avenue. A warning was issued. 

●  An animal problem was reported at 11:16 p.m. in the 1100 block of 14th Street. 

●  A cat bite was reported at 5:28 p.m. June 16 in the 900 block of 19th Street. This was reported to the Green County Health Department. 

●  Disorderly conduct was reported at 7:56 a.m. June 17 in the 600 block of East 3rd Avenue. This remains under investigation. 

●  A fireworks violation was reported at 5:34 p.m. June 18 in the 900 block of West 2nd Avenue. Police were unable to locate the source of the violation. 

●  Harassment was reported at 6:07 p.m. June 19 in the N400 block of East 2nd Avenue.

DARLINGTON — On June 3: 

●  An injured animal on the roadway was reported at 4:20 a.m. on Wis. 78, Town of Argyle. 

●  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 7:41 a.m. on Gun Club Road, Town of Darlington. 

●  An animal problem was reported at 4:17 p.m. on Aetna Road, Town of Benton. 

●  A traffic hazard was reported at 6:27 p.m. on Bethel Grove Road, Town of Belmont. 

On June 4: 

●  A traffic complaint was reported at 4:25 a.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Wayne and at 1:03 p.m. on U.S. 151, Town of Belmont. 

●  Gary M. Stanton, 58, Platteville, was cited for failure to fasten seatbelt at 6:25 a.m. on County B, Town of Belmont. 

●  Donald E. Surrell, 58, South Wayne, was cited for failure to fasten seatbelt at 6:58 a.m. on County Y, Town of Wiota. 

●  Steven J. Staver, 69, Shullsburg, was cited for failure to fasten seatbelt at 9:31 a.m. on County D, Town Wayne. 

●  Richard D. Skattum, 72, Argyle, was cited for failure to fasten seatbelt at 11:16 a.m. on West Milwaukee Street in Argyle. 

●  Tresa M. Schroeder, 37, Shullsburg, was cited for displaying false registration and no vehicle insurance at 12:18 p.m. on Sale Barn Road, Town of Elk Grove. 

●  A deputy assisted a citizen at 2:10 p.m. on Goodman Road, Town of Lamont. 

●  Myrna A. Majerus, 49, Benton, was cited for failure to fasten seatbelt at 2:55 p.m. on Temple Avenue in Benton. 

●  Samantha K. Holmstrom, 20, Blanchardville, was cited for speeding at 2:56 p.m. on Wis. 78, Town of Argyle. 

●  A deputy responded to check welfare at 4:01 p.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Gratiot. 

On June 5: 

●  Suspicious activity was reported at 6:46 a.m. on South Verley Street in South Wayne. 

●  Michael J. Tibbits, 45, Mineral Point, was cited for failure to fasten seatbelt at 7:30 a.m. on Wis. 126, Town of Elk Grove. 

●  Kristine S. Smythe, 68, Potosi, was cited for failure to fasten seatbelt at 8:23 a.m. on West Platteville Avenue in Belmont. 

●  Joseph W. Kettler, 47, Platteville, was cited for failure to fasten seatbelt at 8:52 a.m. on West Platteville Avenue in Belmont. 

●  David P. Treanor, 20, Shullsburg, was cited for no proof of insurance at 9:02 a.m. on County XX, Town of Belmont. 

●  Timothy R. Suddeth, 54, Mineral Point, was cited for failure to fasten seatbelt at 9:32 a.m. on East Platteville Avenue in Belmont. 

●  Dakota J. Meier, 25, Darlington, was cited for failure to fasten seatbelt at 9:58 a.m. on Wis. 78, Town of Wiota. 

●  Joseph D. Petit, 39, Rewey, was cited for failure to stop at stop sign at 10:42 a.m. on West Mound Road, Town of Belmont. 

●  A disabled vehicle was reported at 11:26 a.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Elk Grove. 

●  Jill M. Zdrojewski, 44, Oak Creek, was cited for no proof of insurance at 11:37 a.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Gratiot. 

●  Vanessa C. Villacrez Doescher, 52, Verona, was cited for speeding at 6:02 p.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Gratiot. 

●  An abandoned vehicle was reported at 6:27 p.m. on County F, Town of Blanchard. 

●  Trevor W. Gilbertson, 18, Argyle, was cited at 7:50 p.m. for underage alcohol consumption, absolute sobriety and speeding on an ATV. Alana L. McCarville, 17, Juda, and Cory J. Gilbertson, 20, Argyle, were also cited for underage alcohol consumption. 

●  Daniel J. Ubersox, 36, Blanchardville, was cited for speeding at 11:42 p.m. on East Milwaukee Street in Argyle.  

On June 6: 

●  Robert G. Leigh, 58, Mineral Point, was cited for failure to fasten seatbelt at 8:01 a.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Argyle. 

●  Steven M. Ball, 26, Rewey, was cited for driving after suspension, no proof of vehicle insurance and non-registration of auto at 8:14 a.m. on Mitchell Hollow Road, Town of Belmont. He was released into the custody of an Iowa County Deputy as a result of an outstanding warrant.
