Brodhead Police

BRODHEAD — For the week of June 14-20, police performed 37 security checks, 28 citizen assists, 10 assists of other agencies, eight follow-ups to incidents, 25 vehicle registrations and five traffic stops; responded to 31 calls for service and reported 11 EMS calls, 20 911 or BEEMS (Brodhead Elderly Emergency Monitoring System) calls and two fire calls. No mental health or detox transports were reported.

On June 14:

●  A dog bite was reported at 2:16 a.m. in the 1200 block of West 2nd Avenue. The matter was referred to Green County Public Health.

●  A Brodhead woman, 24, was cited for no proof of vehicle insurance at 4:17 a.m. in the 1000 block of 1st Center Avenue.

●  A Brodhead woman, 56, was arrested on a charge of operating while intoxicated at 3:38 p.m. in the 1900 block of East 9th Avenue. She was also cited for operating left of center.

●  A Brodhead man, 39, was cited for parking left of center facing traffic at 10:39 p.m. in the 700 block of 7th Street.

On June 15:

●  Scratches to a vehicle were reported at 7:34 p.m. in the 300 block of 2nd Street.

On June 16:

●  A child riding on an ATV without a helmet was reported at 12:49 p.m. in the 300 block of 13th Street. Police issued a warning.

On June 17:

●  A juvenile was warned for a curfew violation at 12:46 a.m. in the 500 block of 11th Street.

On June 18:

●  A dog at large was reported at 9:41 a.m. in the 300 block of 10th Street. The owner was warned.

●  A car vs. deer crash was reported at 7:21 p.m. in the 2300 block of East 9th Avenue.

●  A Brodhead woman, 32, was arrested on a domestic abuse-related charge of disorderly conduct at 11:56 p.m. in the 500 block of West 2nd Avenue.

On June 19:

●  A Brodhead man, 29, was referred to the Green County District Attorney’s Office for bail jumping after police had contact with him at 2:26 a.m. in the 500 block of West 2nd Avenue.

●  A Brodhead woman, 17, was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct at 3:10 p.m. in the 2200 block of West 5th Avenue. A juvenile who was also involved was cited for disorderly conduct.

●  Theft from a business in the 2100 block of 1st Center Avenue was reported at 9:21 p.m.

On June 20:

●  A person with open intoxicants outside of a tavern was reported at 1:20 a.m. in the 1000 block of 1st Center Avenue. Police issued a warning.

●  The theft of a fire pit was reported at 6:31 a.m. in the 1400 block of West 2nd Avenue.

●  A Brodhead man, 66, was cited for unsafe backing at 5:14 p.m. in the 1000 block of 21st Street following a traffic crash.


Monroe Police

MONROE — An altercation between two males, ages 16 and 20, was reported in the 400 block of West 21st Street at 12:36 p.m. June 15. The 20-year-old suffered a nose injury. An ambulance responded to the scene to treat him. The 16-year-old was referred to Green County Juvenile Intake for charges.

●  Carla J. Mannino, 49, Monroe, was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct under Wisconsin’s Domestic Violence laws at 7:38 p.m. June 18 after officers were called to a domestic disturbance at a residence in the 2700 block of Wis. 69. She was jailed pending court.

On June 21:

●  Loitering, littering and underage drinking were reported at 12:18 a.m. in a parking lot in the 800 block of 16th Avenue. Investigation resulted in Julio A. Vasquez-Garcia, 18, and Ethan I. Gabriel-Linares, 18, both of Monroe, being cited for underage drinking.
