New Glarus Police

New Glarus — On Monday, Nov. 26:

●  A juvenile runaway was reported at 1:09 p.m. The juvenile was later located and returned home.

●  A men’s brown leather wallet was reported lost at 5:26 p.m.

On Tuesday, Nov. 27:

●  Child neglect was reported at 7:30 a.m. Police looked into the incident and notified Green County Human Services.

●  Police assisted the Belleville Police Department at 9:53 a.m. with checking on a subject reported to be in New Glarus. Everything was fine.

●  Police unlocked a vehicle at 5:04 p.m. in the 1100 block of 1st Street.

●  Jason A. Monigold, 37, New Glarus, was cited for non-registration of a vehicle after being stopped for an equipment violation at 6 p.m. on 6th Avenue at Railroad Street.

●  Residents in the 800 block of 1st Street reported a burning odor at 11:16 p.m., with police and the New Glarus Fire Department responding. It appeared the furnace may have been malfunctioning. The residents spent the night elsewhere until the furnace could be checked.

On Wednesday, Nov. 28:

●  A commercial alarm was reported at 10:40 p.m. in the 600 block of Wis. 69. Cleaning staff had accidentally activated it.

On Thursday, Nov. 29:

●  A vehicle stuck and abandoned in a backyard in the 300 block of 5th Avenue was reported at 8:04 a.m. The vehicle owner, Dylan P. Ruef, 22, New Glarus, was located and cited for failure to report a motor vehicle crash and hit-and-run to private property.

●  Police investigated a report filed through Green County Human Services at 3:30 p.m.

●  Orlando Mendez Rodriguez, 46, Beloit, was cited for illegal window tint on a vehicle and driving without a valid license at 4:05 p.m. on Wis. 69 at 6th Avenue.

●  Taylor J. Duell, 18, Blanchardville, was cited for driving without vehicle insurance after being stopped for an equipment violation at 4:36 p.m. on 6th Avenue at Railroad Street.

●  Police assisted the Mount Horeb Police Department at 4:40 p.m. with a case reported in New Glarus for a crime that occurred in Mount Horeb.

●  A large piece of lumber was removed from the roadway at 5:05 p.m. on Wis. 69 at Industrial Drive.

●  Susan L. Walter, 42, New Glarus, was cited for speeding at 5:26 p.m. in the 100 block of 14th Avenue.

●  A medical call was reported at 5:41 p.m. in the 900 block of Glarner Drive.

●  A wallet was reported lost at 6:46 p.m. in the 500 block of 1st Street.

●  Abby J. Turner, 34, Monticello, was cited for driving without vehicle insurance after being stopped for an equipment violation at 6:52 p.m. on Wis. 69 at 6th Avenue.

●  Theft was reported at 8:20 p.m. in the 500 block of 14th Avenue. A package delivered to the address was stolen after delivery and before the complainant arrived home.

On Friday, Nov. 30:

●  Philip G. Thompson, 45, New Glarus, was cited for excessively tinted vehicle windows at 10:22 a.m. in the 1300 block of Wis. 69.

●  Police assisted a citizen by unlocking a vehicle at 12:10 p.m. in the 400 block of 4th Avenue.

●  Shelly M. Johnson, 49, New Glarus, was cited for driving without vehicle insurance at 5:21 p.m. in the 1100 block of Wis. 69.

●  Dennis W. Renander, 68, Sun Prairie, was cited for speeding at 7:53 p.m. in the 10 block of 2nd Street.

●  Ronald R. Nelson, 49, Argyle, was cited for not wearing a seatbelt after being stopped for an equipment violation at 9:06 p.m. on Wis. 69 at 11th Avenue.

On Saturday, Dec. 1:

●  Police were requested at 8:39 a.m. to take fingerprints of a citizen for a legal process.

●  A possible phone scam was reported at 1:10 p.m. A citizen in New Glarus received a call from someone claiming to be with the Social Security Administration and asking for personal information, which was given.

●  Scott E. Nyland, 52, Madison, was cited for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop at 6:10 p.m. in the 200 block of 14th Avenue.

●  Police investigated a suspicious vehicle illegally parked in the 500 block of Railroad Street at 11:39 p.m.

On Sunday, Dec. 2:

●  A medical call was reported at 11:29 a.m. in the 1100 block of 5th Street.

●  A 911 call was received at 12:03 p.m. from the 200 block of 14th Avenue. A child was playing with the phone. There was no emergency.

●  Police performed a welfare check requested at 4:28 p.m. at the police department.

●  Counterfeit currency being used at a business in the 1000 block of Wis. 69 was reported at 4:49 p.m.

●  Police were requested to assist the Monticello Police Department with a motor vehicle crash at 6:01 p.m.


Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON — On Monday, Dec. 3:

●  A restraining order violation was reported at 2:25 p.m. on South Iowa Street in Shullsburg.

●  Blanchardville police responded at 5:24 p.m. to assist Iowa County with an injured deer on Wis. 78.

●  A domestic dispute was reported at 6:23 p.m. on Noble Street in Gratiot.

●  Michael Wiegel, 55, Belmont, was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign at 9:38 p.m. on Holland Road, Town of Seymour.

On Tuesday, Dec. 4:

●  An injured deer in the roadway was reported at 5:54 a.m. on Wis. 11, Town of New Diggings.

●  A traffic complaint was reported at 6:25 a.m. on U.S. 151, Town of Belmont.

●  Theft was reported at 8:31 a.m. on Salty Hollow Road, Town of Gratiot.

●  A deputy responded for a welfare check at 9:22 a.m. on East Main Street in Benton.

●  Theft was reported at 11:11 a.m. on R and K Road, Town of Darlington.

●  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 2:41 p.m. on County D, Town of Fayette.

●  A traffic complaint was reported at 3:23 p.m. on East Pleasant Street in South Wayne.

●  An animal problem was reported at 4:55 p.m. on East Lamont Road, Town of Lamont.

●  An animal bite was reported at 6:37 p.m. on Fort Defiance Road, Town of Fayette.

On Wednesday, Dec. 5:

●  A deputy responded to assist Illinois State Police with delivering a message at 3:14 a.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Wayne.

●  A deputy responded to assist the Darlington Police Department with a commercial alarm at 7:52 a.m. on Wells Street in Darlington.

●  A bail jumping violation was reported at 9:39 a.m. on Wis. 11 in South Wayne.

●  Tara J. Jones, 47, Platteville, was arrested on a Lafayette County warrant at 9:50 a.m. and transported from the Dubuque County Jail in Iowa to the Lafayette County Jail.

●  An animal problem was reported at 1:23 p.m. on County G, Town of Kendall.

●  A deputy responded to assist with unlocking a vehicle at 2 p.m. on Wis. 11 in South Wayne.

●  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 5:23 p.m. on County B, Town of Belmont.

●  Celso Oritz-Campos, 36, Darlington, was cited for driving without a valid license at 7:18 p.m. on West Catherine Street in Darlington.

●  Nicole M. Price, 31, Platteville, was cited for driving without vehicle insurance at 9:37 p.m. on County B, Town of Belmont.

●  Joshua J. Reynolds, 31, Gratiot, was cited for driving without a valid license at 9:40 p.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Darlington.

●  A deputy responded for a welfare check at 10:50 p.m. on County O, Town of Seymour.


Darlington Police

DARLINGTON — Tarig T. Leuchtenmacher, 19, Darlington, was cited for allowing a dog to run at large (second offense within a year) following an animal complaint on Lucy Street at about 12:50 p.m. Monday, Dec. 3.

●  Michael R. Frechette, 17, Darlington, was cited for driving with a revoked license on Galena Street at about 3:35 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4.


Monroe Police

MONROE — Robert P. Bennett, 30, Monroe, was arrested on a charge of bail jumping after officers investigated a reported domestic disturbance at a residence in the 2000 block of 17th Avenue at 12:28 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30. His presence at the residence violated court-ordered bail conditions from a previous case prohibiting him from contact with the residence. He was booked and released after posting a cash bail.
