MONROE — On July 29:
● Angela M. Johnson, 46, Brodhead, was arrested on a warrant issued by Wisconsin Department of Corrections at 5:57 p.m. at a residence in the N200 block of Hartman Road, Town of Spring Grove. She was jailed.
● Duane M. Lindemann, 21, Albany, was arrested on a first-offense charge of operating under the influence at 10:31 p.m. in the 700 block of North Cincinnati Street in Albany. He was also cited for possession of THC and drug paraphernalia. He was released. Brodhead police assisted.
On July 30:
● Reesan R. Ruch, 22, Monroe, was arrested on a probation hold issued by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections at 11:05 a.m. at the Green County Probation and Parole Office in Monroe. He was jailed.
● Anthony W. Boegel, 21, New Glarus, was arrested on a charge of domestic abuse disorderly conduct at 11:39 p.m. in the W5100 block of County C, Town of Washington. He was released after posting bond. New Glarus police assisted.
● Donald L. Wankerl, 54, Blanchardville, and Michele L. Roosa, 58, Blanchardville, were arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property at 4:12 p.m. Aug. 1 in the N7900 block of Gould Hill Road, Town of York. Both were jailed.
On Aug. 4:
● Carrie M. Snelson, 41, Beloit, was arrested on a warrant at 1:35 p.m. at the Green County Justice Center. She was jailed.
On Aug. 5:
● Jose M. Medina, 25, Beloit, was cited for driving without a valid license, his third offense, and speeding at 3:39 a.m. in the N5100 block of Wis. 104, Town of Albany.
● John D. Redwine, 20, Rockford, was arrested for bail jumping at 9:19 a.m. at the Green County Justice Center in Monroe. He was released after posting bond.
● Candace N. Wiesenberg, 41, Brodhead, was arrested on a first-offense charge of operating under the influence at 1:25 a.m. Aug. 7 in the W1800 block of Wis. 11, Town of Spring Grove. She was also cited for driving left of center. She was released.
● Shaina A. Kraft, 18, Warren, was arrested on a felony charge of possession of THC with intent to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia at 3:34 a.m. Aug. 8 in the W5200 block of Wis. 11, Town of Monroe. She was also cited for speeding and underage possession of alcohol. She was jailed.
Monticello Police
MONTICELLO — A parking complaint was reported at 5:54 p.m. July 24 in the 200 block of North Main Street. Vehicle was removed prior to police arrival.
On July 25:
● Disorderly conduct with a vehicle was reported at 3:35 p.m. in the 100 block of North Main Street. This remains under investigation.
● A parking complaint was reported at 4:28 p.m. in the 100 block of North Main Street. The vehicle was found to be not registered and illegally parked. This remains under investigation.
On July 26:
● A suspicious vehicle was reported at 2:07 a.m. in the 300 block of South Garfield Street. Everything was found to be okay.
● Officers located a damaged speed limit sign at 2:25 a.m. on North Pratt Road and East Coates Avenue. This remains under investigation.
● Officers received a found cell phone at 10:07 a.m. in the 100 block of Wis. 69.
● A suspicious person was reported at 2:29 p.m. in the 400 block of North Monroe Street. Everything was found to be okay. The person was at the wrong residence.
● Santos Gonzalez Ortiz, Monticello, was cited for driving without a valid license at 3:17 p.m. on Wis. 69 and West Coates Avenue.
● A car vs. deer crash was reported at 5:09 p.m. in the 800 block of East Coates Avenue.
On July 27:
● Suspicious activity was reported at 8:28 a.m. in the 400 block of North Monroe Street. This was referred to the Green County Sheriff’s Office.
● An individual operating an ATV along Wis. 69 in the township was reported at 5:32 p.m. The caller was advised to contact the sheriff’s office as it was outside jurisdiction.
On July 29:
● Officers assisted Monticello Fire First Response and Green County EMS at 8:01 a.m. for a medical call.
● Fraud was reported at 5:13 p.m. in the 700 block of Johnson Street. A scammer emailed a resident claiming to be from Amazon. No personal information was given.
On July 30:
● Excessive length of grass and construction without appropriate permit was reported at 10:16 a.m. in the 200 block of South Madison Street. This remains under investigation.
● Suspicious activity was reported at 1:58 p.m. in the 100 block of Urban Road. Everything was found to be okay.
● Officers responded for a fire alarm at 7:49 p.m. in the 300 block of South Main Street. Everything was fine.
On Aug. 2:
● Loud music was reported at 7:50 a.m. in the 400 block of East Park Avenue.
● A non-reportable crash was reported at 9:59 a.m. in the 200 block of North Main Street. This is under investigation.
● Jacob T. Trumpy Stumlin, Monticello, was cited for driving with a suspended license, illegal window tint, non-registration of vehicle and no vehicle insurance at 3:07 p.m. on Wis. 69 and Lake Avenue.
● Edwin J. Erskine, Monroe, was cited for illegal window tint at 3:48 p.m. on Wis. 69 and West Coates Avenue.
● Cher Yang, Onalaska, was cited for speeding at 3:53 p.m. on East Coates Avenue and North Main Street.
● Officers assisted Green County Sheriff’s Department with a report of black smoke at 8:33 a.m. Aug. 3 in the N6200 block of Pierce Road. It was found to be a controlled burn.
On Aug. 4:
● Officers assisted Green County Human Services with a resident regarding a civil matter at 10:39 a.m. The resident was advised to contact an attorney.
● A found pink wallet was reported at 10:14 a.m. in the 100 block of Wis. 69. The wallet was secured. The Madison Police Department was requested to make contact with owner to claim their property.
● An ordinance violation was reported at 11:15 a.m. in the 500 block of South Monroe Street. The weeds were removed and resident was warned about tall weeds.
● A possible Facebook scam was reported at 12:24 p.m. in the 200 block of North Main Street. It was determined incident occurred in Janesville and was advised to contact Janesville Police Department.
● Officers assisted Brodhead Police Department with a background investigation at 2:03 p.m. in the 200 block of North Main Street.
● A civil matter was reported at 4:35 p.m. Resident was advised to contact an attorney.
● Officers assisted Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Monroe with a background check at 7:49 p.m.
● Officers conducted traffic control for Monticello First Response at 7:49 p.m. on North Main Street and East Coates Avenue.
On Aug. 5:
● Officers assisted a resident regarding obtaining a building permit at 3:21 p.m. in the 200 block of North Main Street. Resident was advised to contact the Village Clerks Office.
● An animal bite was reported at 9:26 p.m. at the Monroe Clinic Hospital Emergency Room. Paperwork was forwarded to Green County Health Department.
On Aug. 6:
● Police assisted a resident with a vehicle registration at 10:59 a.m. in the 200 block of North Main Street.
● A traffic complaint was reported at 3:21 p.m. in the 100 block of North Main Street. The investigation is ongoing.
● Police assisted Green County Sheriff’s Office with a traffic crash at 3:43 p.m. in the 100 block of Wis. 69.
● Police were contacted about questions on fishing at 7:51 p.m. Resident was directed to the Wisconsin DNR for more information.
● A traffic complaint was reported at 9:35 p.m. in the 800 block of East Lake Avenue.
● The smell of burning leaves was reported at 11:11 p.m. in the 500 block of South Monroe Street. Police were unable to locate the source of the smell.
Brodhead Police
BRODHEAD — For the week of July 25 to July 31, police performed 59 security checks, 21 citizen assists, 13 assists of other agencies, seven follow-ups to incidents, 17 vehicle registration and six traffic stops; responded to 34 calls for service and reported four EMS calls, seven 911 or BEEMS (Brodhead Elderly Emergency Monitoring System) calls and two fire calls. No detox or mental health transports were reported.
On July 25:
● Suspicious activity involving a car with its door open was reported at 5:27 a.m. in the 1600 block of 20th Street. Officers secured door and no further suspicious activity found.
● Suspicious activity involving an outdoor pool overflowing and back door to residence open with no one home was reported at 3:52 p.m. in the 1000 block of 8th Street. Police found no further suspicious activity. The hose was shut off and door was secured. Contact with homeowners was made.
On July 27:
● A non-reportable traffic crash involving a vehicle backing into a parked vehicle was reported at 2:10 p.m. in the 2400 block of 1st Center Avenue. No citations were issued.
● A Beloit man, 35, was cited for no vehicle insurance at 4:50 p.m. in the 100 block of 23rd Street.
● A Brodhead man, 25, was cited for disorderly conduct at 8:33 p.m. in the 1500 block of 1st Center Avenue.
On July 29:
● A Janesville woman, 55, was cited for speeding at 9:39 a.m. in the 600 block of 1st Street.
● Bail jumping was reported at 6:24 p.m. in the 900 block of 12th Street. This was referred to the Green County District Attorney’s Office.
● A code violation was reported at 6:56 p.m. July 30 in the 100 block of Juniper Avenue. A warning was issued.
On July 31:
● A Monroe man, 26, was arrested on a charge of operating while intoxicated at 1:15 a.m. in the 1100 block of 1st Center Avenue. He was also cited for no vehicle insurance, displaying unauthorized registration plate, driving after revocation and tampering with ignition interlock.
● Harassment involving threatening text messages was reported at 8:39 a.m. in the 1000 block of 1st Center Avenue. It was found the messages were from a scam account.
● Fraud involving receiving a check from a closed account was reported at 2:48 p.m. in the 900 block of East 3rd Avenue. This remains under investigation.
● A cat at large was reported at 9:02 p.m. in the 500 block of 3rd Street. A warning was issued.
Monroe Police
MONROE — On July 30:
● Kurt M. Fuchs, 60, Monroe, was arrested on a charge of violating a restraining order at 9:25 p.m. July 31 in the 200 block of 8th Street. He was jailed.
On Aug. 3:
Jennie L. Cowan, 64, Stockton, Illinois, was arrested on a first-offense charge of operating while intoxicated at 9:28 p.m. Aug. 3 in the 100 block of North 18th Avenue. She was also charged with resisting officers. She was jailed.
