Brodhead Police

BRODHEAD — For the week of April 12-18, police performed 37 security checks, 22 citizen assists, nine assists of other agencies, five follow-ups to incidents, 16 vehicle registrations and one traffic stop; responded to 13 calls for service and reported five EMS calls, one fire call and 11 911 or BEEMS (Brodhead Elderly Emergency Monitoring System) calls. No mental health or detox transports were reported.

On Sunday, April 12:

●  A Brodhead woman, 28, was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct and battery at 1:26 a.m. in the 300 block of 8th Street following a domestic problem.

●  A dog bite was reported at 6:32 p.m. in the 1500 block of East 4th Avenue.

On Monday, April 13:

●  Harassment was reported at 5:58 p.m. in the 1200 block of 22nd Street. A warning was issued.

On Tuesday, April 14:

●  Police responded for a welfare check at 2:34 p.m. in the 1200 block of West 6th Avenue, made contact with the subject and all appeared fine.

●  An Albany woman, 30, was cited for driving with a suspended license at 7:25 p.m. in the 1000 block of West Exchange Street.

On Wednesday, April 15:

●  A dog at large was reported at 8 a.m. in the 1400 block of 1st Center Avenue. The owner was contacted and claimed the dog.

On Thursday, April 16:

●  Police responded at 2:15 a.m. to the 1000 block of West 3rd Avenue to check the welfare of a person sitting in a car. The person had been sleeping.

●  A complaint of a parked vehicle impeding traffic was reported at 6 a.m. in the 2200 block of West 5th Avenue. Contact was made with the owner, and the vehicle was moved.

●  A dog running in traffic was reported at 4:36 p.m. in the 900 block of 1st Center Avenue. The owner was warned.

On Friday, April 17:

●  A dog bite was reported at 5:27 a.m. in the 300 block of 4th Street.

●  A runaway was reported at 9:35 p.m. in the 2200 block of West 5th Avenue. The juvenile was located and returned home.


Green County Sheriff

MONROE — Travis J. Cook, 46, Orfordville, was arrested on charges of felony theft and obstructing an officer at 7:13 p.m. Thursday, April 16, following an investigation into the theft of an ATV that was reported to the sheriff’s office as stolen in 2019. The ATV was taken from an individual, not a business. Orfordville police located the ATV in Orfordville and assisted deputies in the investigation. Cook was jailed pending court.

On Friday, April 17:

●  Andrew S. Shearer, 38, Brodhead, was arrested on a Wisconsin Department of Corrections probation hold at 10:04 a.m. at the Green County Probation and Parole Office in Monroe. He was jailed.

●  Caleb M. Elmer, 17, Monroe, was arrested on a felony charge of possessing THC with intent to distribute and a charge of contributing to the delinquency of a minor after deputies stopped a vehicle at 7:02 p.m. in the 1200 block of 1st Center Avenue in Brodhead. Elmer was also cited for driving with a suspended license. He was jailed pending court.


Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON — On Monday, March 30:

●  Braedan J. Lincicum, 17, Monroe, was cited for no vehicle insurance at 9:37 p.m. on County W, Town of Monticello.
