On September 22:

● At 1:59 a.m., officers were called to a single vehicle versus a sign post accident with no reported injuries, at 20th Avenue and 8th Street. The offending vehicle had fled the scene. A short time later, another officer found the vehicle in the 100 block of North 18th Avenue. An investigation indicated that a vehicle operated by Jorge I. Briones Uveda, 23, of South Wayne, was northbound on 20th Avenue, left the roadway and collided with a sign and post. Briones Uveda then left the scene without reporting the accident. The vehicle sustained a flat tire and was towed from the location where it was found. Briones Uveda was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated-1st offense, and was also cited for operating with a prohibited alcohol concentration, operating without a valid driver’s license, failure to notify law enforcement of an accident, hit and run to property adjacent to a highway and operating without motor vehicle insurance.

● At 2:18 a.m., officers were called to a report of an unwanted subject at a residence in the 2400 block of 11th Street. An investigation resulted in the arrest of Luis R. Munoz Garcia, 20, of Monroe, on charges of disorderly conduct, underaged consumption of alcohol and possession of false identification. Munoz Garcia was released to a responsible adult pending a court appearance.
