On July 10:
● 10:21 p.m. Deputy responded to STH 78, Gratiot Township for a vehicle in the ditch.
● 11:52 p.m. Deputies responded to W Grove ST, Village of South Wayne for a disorderly dispute. As a result, Nathan W. Restivo, 45, South Wayne was arrested for a valid warrant out of Monroe. Restivo was transported to Green County Jail where he was booked.
On July 12:
● 7:55 a.m. Deputies responded to STH 11, Gratiot Township for a two vehicle crash. Olen C Tollakson, 56, South Wayne was traveling westbound on STH 11 in a 2007 Chevrolet. Rita M Tejada, 61, Decorah, IA was stopped on CTH P in a 2009 Honda. Tejada proceeded into the intersection in front of Tollakson, causing him to strike Tejada. Tollakson was uninjured and his vehicle received moderate damage. Tejada was also uninjured and her vehicle received severe damage. Tejada was cited for Failure to Yield the Right of Way. Gratiot First and Fire assisted on scene.
● 4:37 p.m. A deputy responded to CTH G, Argyle Township for a two vehicle accident.
● 5:10 p.m. A deputy responded to the ATV Trail, Willow Springs Township for a UTV accident. Tammy S Johnson, 64, Cambridge, IL was traveling on the trail in a 2023 Polaris when she struck a fence crossing due to poor visibility, and overturned. Johnson was uninjured and her passenger, Rachel R Streeter, 53, Lynn Center, IL reported minor injuries and was taken to the hospital. Darlington Fire and Lafayette County EMS assisted on scene.
● 10:20 p.m. A deputy responded to CTH KK, Gratiot Township for keep the peace.
On July 13:
● 12:27 p.m. A deputy responded to Valley RD, Argyle Township for a minor accident. Taylor L Mathys, 24, Blanchardville was traveling in a parking lot in a 2015 Subaru when Amy L Corley, 39, South Wayne attempted to back out in a 2013 Hyundai. Corley did not see Mathys and backed into her. No injuries were reported and both vehicles were driven from the scene with minor damage. Corley was cited for No Insurance.
● 5:53 p.m. A deputy responded to S Park ST in the Village of Belmont for a vehicle in the ditch.
On July 14:
● 3:11 a.m. Deputies responded to E High ST in the Village of South Wayne for disorderly conduct.
● 12:09 p.m. A deputy responded to CTH KK, Gratiot Township for keep the peace.
● 7:41 p.m. Deputies responded across the county for trees down and water across the roadway
On July 15:
● 9:53 a.m. A deputy responded to E Milwaukee ST, Village of Argyle for a two vehicle accident. Carolyn J. Rawson, 77, Monroe was traveling on E Milwaukee ST in her 2016 Kia when she failed to yield to right away at a stop sign and struck a 2018 Ford driven by Heidi J. Ganshert, 43, Argyle. No injuries were reported. Rawson’s Kia received functional damage and was driven from the scene. Ganshert’s Ford received disabling damage and was towed from the scene.
● 10:00 a.m. A deputy responded to STH 11, New Diggings Township for suspicious activity.
● 12:45 p.m. A deputy responded to CTH W, New Diggings Township for a restraining order violation.
● 2:23 p.m. Deputies assisted Darlington Police on E Harriett ST in the City with a three vehicle accident. Darlington Fire assisted.
● 3:32 p.m. A deputy responded to S Mound AV, Village of Belmont for harassment.
On July 17
● 7:20 a.m. A deputy responded to STH 81, Elk Grove Township for a two-vehicle accident. Dylan T Russell, 34, Darlington was traveling westbound on STH 81 in a 1993 Toyota when he entered a work area and struck a parked 2004 Dodge. No injuries were reported, and the vehicles were driven from the scene. Russell was arrested for Operating after Revocation and Tampering with IID. Russell was transported to the Lafayette County Jail where he was booked and released. Russell was also cited for Inattentive Driving.
● 3:31 p.m. A deputy responded to CTH F, Willow Springs Township for a one vehicle accident. Cooper A Crist, 18, was traveling northbound on CTH F in a 2005 Chevrolet when his wheel assembly broke, causing damage. Crist was not injured, and his vehicle was towed from the scene.
● 9:04 p.m. Deputies responded to S Kennedy ST in the City of Shullsburg for disorderly conduct.
On July 18:
● 3:16 p.m. Platteville Fire responded to CTH XX, Belmont Township for a transformer on fire.
● 9:05 p.m. Henry W Frederick, 22, Iowa City, IA reported striking a deer on USH 151, Belmont Township. No injuries were reported and Frederick’s Chevrolet received moderate damage and was driven from the scene.
On July 19:
● 4:14 p.m. A deputy responded to CTH X, Elk Grove Township for a civil dispute.
On July, 20:
● 7:12 a.m. Argyle Fire, Argyle EMS, and a deputy responded to CTH N, Argyle Township for a one vehicle accident. Jaden B Fish, 22, Argyle swerved to miss a deer the night prior and went into the ditch. No injuries were reported. Fish’s 2014 Ford received disabling damage and was towed from the scene.
● 7:44 a.m. A deputy responded to Buncombe RD, Benton Township for a civil dispute.
● 9:44 a.m. A deputy responded to Noble ST, Village of Gratiot for a civil dispute.
● 10:02 a.m. Judith A Berget, 66, Darlington reported striking a deer on CTH A, Argyle Township. No injuries were reported. Berget’s 2007 Chevrolet received minor damage and was driven from the scene.
● 11:25 a.m. A deputy responded to W Liberty ST, Village of Belmont for a scam.
On July 21:
● 8:12 a.m. Deputies responded to W Grove ST, Village of South Wayne for a disorderly dispute.
● 10:56 a.m. Deputies responded to S Galena RD, Benton Township for a helicopter crash. The helicopter struck a power line causing it to crash into a nearby field. The pilot, Loren C. Friedle, 40, Smyrna GA, was the lone occupant of the helicopter and reported no injuries. Benton First Response, Cuba City Fire, Southwest Health EMS, National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and Alliant Energy assisted.
● 5:46 p.m. A deputy responded to E Hill ST, Village of Blanchardville for a civil dispute.
On July 23:
● 5:04 a.m. Dustin L Sigafus, 50, Gratiot reported striking a deer on CTH W, White Oak Springs Township. No injuries were reported and Sigafus’s 2017 Chevrolet received severe damage and was towed from the scene.
● 11:56 a.m. Darlington Fire responded to Hillside LN in the City to provide traffic control for a downed power line.
