On August 14:

● 5:51 p.m. A deputy responded to CTH F, Seymour Township for a vehicle in the ditch. Yuli DC Moya-Acosta, 38, Darlington was cited for operating without a valid Driver’s License, and Failure to Maintain Control.

On August 15:

● 2:18 p.m. A deputy responded to E Center ST in the Village of South Wayne for a two vehicle accident. Jenaka L Stietz, 19, South Wayne was at the stop sign on S Wyota ST in a 2004 Pontiac. Susan M Basye, 60, Gratiot was traveling eastbound on E Center ST in a 2009 Ford. Stietz was unable to see Basye due to construction equipment and pulled out into the intersection where she was struck by Basye. Both parties along with a juvenile passenger were uninjured. Basye’s vehicle was towed from the scene with disabling damage and Stietz vehicle was driven from the scene with moderate damage. 

On August 16:

● 6:29 a.m. Shawna A. Fields, 45, Darlington reported striking a deer on STH 81, Darlington. Fields’ reported no injuries. Fields’ 2020 Jeep received functional damage and was driven from the scene.

● 12:24 p.m. A deputy responded to STH 23, Shullsburg Township for a 2 vehicle accident. Shullsburg Fire and EMS assisted.

● 1:24 p.m. A deputy responded to Summit RD, Shullsburg Township for criminal damage.

● 2:10 p.m. Deputies responded to CTH G, Kendall Township for a domestic dispute. 

● 4:07 p.m. A deputy responded to S Holland RD, Gratiot Township for suspicious activity.

● 5:40 p.m. Edis A. Salgado-Diaz, 20, Darlington was arrested on E Catherine ST, City of Darlington for Operating a Motor Vehicle without a Valid License (3+ within 3 years) and Bail Jumping. Salgado-Diaz was transported to Lafayette County Jail where he was booked and later released after posting bond. Darlington Police assisted. 

● 6:04 p.m. A deputy responded to S Galena ST, Village of South Wayne for suspicious activity. 

● 6:33 p.m. A deputy assisted Darlington Police on Main ST in the City with a disorderly dispute. 

● 8:03 p.m. Michael D. Holzer, 53, Lancaster was arrested on CTH XX, Belmont Township for OWI (3rd Offense) and Possession of THC. Holzer was transported to Lafayette County Jail where he was booked and later released to a responsible party after posting bond. 

On August 17:

● 4:14 p.m. Deputies responded to CTH G, Argyle Township for a one vehicle accident. Argyle EMS, Argyle Fire, and Wisconsin DNR assisted.

● 9:18 p.m. Deputies responded to CTH I, New Diggings for a disorderly dispute. Shullsburg Police and Hazel Green Police assisted.

On August 18:

● 5:06 p.m. Deputies responded to White School RD, Gratiot Township for a disorderly dispute. 

● 10:35 p.m. Fredy M. Colindres-Rodriguez, 44, Darlington was arrested on STH 23, Darlington Township for Operating While Intoxicated (OWI — with a ≤ 16 y/o Passenger) and Resisting/Obstruction. Colindres-Rodriguez was transported to Lafayette County Jail where he was booked and remains. Darlington Police assisted. Colindres-Rodriguez was also cited for Operating without a Valid License, Operating Left of Center, Possession of Open Intoxicants, and Failure to Maintain Brake Lights.  

On August 19:

● 1:38 p.m. Deputies responded to CTH XX, Belmont Township for a two vehicle accident. Jason M Pemberton, 43, Reno, NV was traveling southbound on W Mound RD in a 2024 Toyota. Thamar Meremable, 27, Platteville was traveling eastbound on CTH XX in a 2011 Subaru. Pemberton failed to yield the right of way causing Meremable to enter the ditch and strike a rock wall. Pemberton denied EMS and Meremable was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Pemberton’s vehicle was driven from the scene while Meramble’s was towed with disabling damage. Pemberton was cited for Failure to Yield the Right of Way. Platteville Fire and Southwest Health EMS assisted.

On August 21:

● 1:06 a.m. Deputies responded to Parkinson RD, Fayette Township for a burglary.

● 2:46 a.m. Deputies conducted a traffic stop on CTH W, Village of Hazel Green. As a result, Alexis F Smith, 30, Shullsburg was arrested for Felony Bail Jumping and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Smith was transported to the Lafayette County Jail where she was booked and later released. Darlington Police assisted on scene.

● 6:43 a.m. Douglas R Nihles, 41, Rewey, was traveling on STH 126, Belmont Township when Todd C Gebhardt, 52, Black River Falls attempted to pass him in a no passing zone. Nihles was driving his 2015 GMC and swerved at Gebhardt driving a 2010 Honda causing Gebhardt to drive into a cornfield. No injuries were reported. Both vehicles received minor damage and were driven from the scene.

● 3:41 p.m. A deputy responded to CTH KK, Gratiot Township for suspicious circumstances.
