Felonies
● Amy C. Carter, 53, Brodhead, was charged April 1 with a Class G felony count of theft of $10,000 or more in a business setting, a Class H felony count of misappropriating ID info to obtain money and a Class I felony count of issuing a worthless check. Court records indicate Carter misappropriated money to herself while appointed temporary guardian of an individual’s estate between July 2016 and March 2018. She reportedly transferred $12,287 from the person’s bank account into her own account and skimmed off $576 from the person’s social security checks. On Aug. 30, 2017, she also allegedly wrote a worthless check in the amount of $4,668 to the nursing home where the person was living, Rachel’s Choice, 316 3rd Ave., Monroe. She has signed a $10,000 signature bond with conditions that she not possess or handle any financial instruments or account information of third parties except her spouse’s.
● Jason Madison Dunlap, 35, Monroe, was charged April 2 with two Class I felony counts of failure to pay child support. Court records indicate he has two children by two different women and was ordered to pay $43.13 weekly for one child and $57.80 weekly for the other. His total child support arrearage owed is $23,089.11 for one child and $3,802.96 for the other.
