MONROE - The City of Monroe is looking again for a new deputy treasurer.
City Clerk Carol Stamm said the city has reposted the position with the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME), the largest public employee and health care workers union in the United States.
If no applications come in from the union, the Salary & Personnel Committee will choose a candidate from applications taken during a recent submission period.
The city hired Wendy Kimble for the position July 15. Kimble started July 17, but resigned almost immediately citing personal reasons.
