MONROE - During a meeting Tuesday, the City of Monroe Finance & Taxation Committee:
• Recommend to council to approve donation to the American Legion to cover Memorial Day activities.
• Recommend to council to transfer money from the Parkland Development Fund to cover expenses for Valley View Park.
• Heard from Fire Chief Daryl Rausch and financial advisor Greg Johnson regarding finance options for a proposed second fire station.
• Recommend to council to take action to authorize submission of a Municipal Application Request for a State Trust Fund Loan for purposes of financing community development projects located in Tax Incremental District No. 7.
