The following candidates will be on the ballot Tuesday, April 2 for town board races in Green and Lafayette counties. See candidates for other area races in Thursday's edition of The Monroe Times.
Green County
Town of Adams
Jeff Isely is the sole candidate for chairman. Merlen Fernstaedt is running for Supervisor 1, and Martin Ostby is running for Supervisor 2. Also running unopposed is Brenda Emberson for town clerk and Tom B. Ritschard for town treasurer.
Town of Albany
Keith Hobson is the only candidate for chairman. Also running unopposed on the ballot are Angel Kubly, Supervisor 1; Robb Spangler, Supervisor 2; Bonnie Zee, town clerk; and Cindi Wittlinger, town treasurer.
Town of Brooklyn
Two candidates, Alistair Carr and Jim Scrivner, are facing off for town chairman. Running for Supervisor 1 are Jeffrey McNeely and Cathy Cryor Burgweger. John H. Davis is unopposed for Supervisor 2. Dan Meixelsperger and Melinda J. Carr are running for town clerk, and Russell Cichy is unopposed for town treasurer.
Town of Cadiz
Kenneth J. Goodman Jr. and Bud Strunz are running for town chairman. Janet Sauder-Minder and Matt Beckman are running for Supervisor 1. In the Supervisor 2 race, Thomas F. Knautz and Jim Redies are running. For clerk, Karen A. Signer is unopposed. For town treasurer, Reyne Phillips and Kathleen Grossen are on the ballot.
Town of Clarno
Nathan Hartwig is running unopposed for town chairman. For Supervisor 1, David Miller is the sole candidate. Ron L. Brandt and Richard K. Wehinger are running for Supervisor 2. Unopposed are James Rutledge for town clerk and Carol Maveus for town treasurer.
Town of Decatur
Arthur M. Riese and John Kerschner Jr. are candidates for town chairman. Running for Supervisor 1 are Ron Schwartzlow and Donna Strutzenberg. In the race for Supervisor 2 are Steve Dasko and Robert A. Gadow. Running unopposed are Ann L. Schwartz for town clerk/treasurer and Donna M. Wolfe for assessor.
Town of Exeter
There are no contested races in the Town of Exeter. Ted Fahey is running for chairman; Mark F. Gundlach is running for Supervisor 1; and Roger Zweifel is running for Supervisor 2.
Town of Jefferson
Harvey Mandel is the only candidate for town chairman. Also running unopposed are Lyle Samson for Supervisor 1; Gary Davis for Supervisor 2; and Amy McCullough for town clerk/treasurer.
Town of Jordan
There are no contested races in the Town of Jordan. On the ballot are Lauren Meinert for chairman; Gene Christensen for Supervisor 1; Pat Miller for Supervisor 2; Billie Reynolds for town clerk; and Doris Bechtolt for town treasurer.
Town of Monroe
Candidates for Town of Monroe offices are all unopposed. Running on the ballot are Alois Mayer, chairman; Todd E. Hasse, Supervisor 1; Chad E. Spotts, Supervisor 2; Karen R. Sutter, town clerk; and Francy Bieneman, town treasurer.
Town of Mount Pleasant
Kim Buehl is the only candidate for town chairman. Mike Gengler is also unopposed for Supervisor 1. Roger Brugger and Dennis Johnson are running for the Supervisor 2 position.
Town of New Glarus
On the ballot for Town of New Glarus races are unopposed candidates Keith Seward, town chairman; Dean Streiff, Supervisor 1; and Chris Narveson, Supervisor 2.
Town of Spring Grove
Unopposed candidates are Patrick Faessler, town chairman; Ernest Webnar, Supervisor 1; Fritz Badertscher, Supervisor 2; Deb Cline, town clerk; and Patricia Reckamp, town treasurer.
Town of Sylvester
There are no contested races in the Town of Sylvester. On the ballot are the following candidates: Anna Anderson, town chairman; Terry Reed, Supervisor 1; Michael Hasse, Supervisor 2; and Alice Ladwig, town clerk/treasurer.
Town of Washington
Running unopposed for Town of Washington races are Richard Rufer, chairman; Eldon F. Grossen, Supervisor 1; Calvin Wasserstrass, Supervisor 2; Emily Wild, town clerk; and Susan Hiltbrand, town treasurer.
Town of York
Running unopposed in the Town of York are Dan Reeson for town chairman; Dan Truttman for Supervisor 1; Steven E. Hermanson for Supervisor 2; Nancy Anderson for town clerk; and Ann J. Carlson for town treasurer.
Lafayette County
Town of Argyle
Lyle Fischer is the only candidate running for chairman. John Bruehlman is the only candidate for Supervisor 1 and Larry Flannery is the only person running for Supervisor 2 on the town board. Kathleen Ernser-Norton is running unopposed for town clerk; Lillian Demario is unopposed for town treasurer.
Town of Blanchard
Jed Gant is the only candidate for town board chairman. Steven Stangeland is the sole candidate for Supervisor 1 and Russell Moen is the only candidate for Supervisor 2. Running unopposed for town clerk is Lisa Sikora, while Sandra Doran has no challenger for town treasurer.
Town of Darlington
John Reichling is the only candidate for chairman. Also running unopposed are Al Lange, Supervisor 1; Randy Huntington, Supervisor 2; Tom Jean, town clerk; and Rose Leu, town treasurer.
Town of Fayette
John W. Ruf is running unopposed for town chairman. Bob Hermanson, Supervisor 1, and Tom Burris, Supervisor 2, are the only candidates in their respective races. Jean VanMatre is the only candidate for town clerk. There are two facing off for town treasurer: Linda Burke and Irene Burris.
Town of Gratiot
Chuck Herbst has no challenger for chairman. Charles Opie and Gerald Heimann are running for two supervisor positions. Phillip C. Carroll is the only candidate for town clerk/treasurer.
Town of Lamont
Jack Larson is running unopposed for chairman. There are three people running for two supervisor seats: Chris Andrews, Jan R. Johnsen, and Fabian Loeffelholz. Tami Winters and Pam Fenner are facing off for town clerk. Mary L. Weaver is the only candidate for town treasurer.
Town of Monticello
There are no contested races in the Town of Monticello. Art Finnigan is running for chairman; Danielle Steger and Richard E. Gill are on the ballot for two supervisor seats; and Lorie Robelia is running for town clerk/treasurer.
Town of Shullsburg
Albert Gensler is running unopposed for chairman. Ted Wiegel and Larry Johnson are running for two supervisor seats. Also unopposed on the ballot are Elaine A. Wiegel for town clerk and Charles G. Doyle for town treasurer.
Town of Wayne

Steve Hegge is running unopposed for chairman. James McGlynn is unopposed for Supervisor 1, while Greg A. Cruse is the only candidate for Supervisor 2. The only candidate for town clerk is Virginia J. Grossen, and Richard March is the only name on the ballot for town treasurer.
Town of Wiota
Jeff Monson is the only candidate on the ballot for chairman. Competing for two supervisor spots are three candidates: Steve Brenum, Bill Thompson and John Fox. Unopposed for town clerk is Kay Wang, while Paul Johnson is facing no opponent for town treasurer.
Town of Adams
