St. Victor's Catholic Church, Monroe, was the setting of the Nuptial Mass on April 19, 2008, uniting Amanda Jo Green, of Monroe, and Jacob Jeffrey Veeder, of International Falls, Minn. The double-ring afternoon ceremony was performed by Father Eric Nielsen, of St. Paul's Catholic Church on the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus.

The bride is the daughter of Joseph and Joyce Green, of Browntown. The groom is the son of Jeff and Margaret Veeder, of International Falls, Minn.

Amanda appeared on the arm of her father in a white A-line empire-waist hand-beaded satin dress with a floral embroidery diagonal overlay.

Traditional liturgical music was provided by pianist Brandon Sanders, violinist Alyssa Yank and vocalist Maria Walker.

The bride selected her sister, Kathleen Green, of Rockford, Ill., as maid of honor. Her bridesmaids were her friends Mary Kleinschmidt, Stacy Preisler, Lilly Huppler and Jane Sullentrup, all of Madison. The attendants were attired in floor-length empire-waisted satin gowns in cornflower, with an indigo satin sash.

The flower girl was Audrey Richards, of Coleraine, Minn., cousin and goddaughter of the groom. She was dressed in a white tulle and satin dress with a ballgown skirt accented with a sky blue ribbon and bow at the waist. Ringbearer was William Green, of Norton Shores, Mich., nephew and godson of the bride.

Joseph Veeder, of International Falls, served as his brother's best man. Groomsmen were Jay Boyle and Jeff Raboin, both of International Falls, friends of the groom; and Carl Green, of Norton Shores, Mich., and Matt Green, of Monroe, brothers of the bride. Ushers were Ryan Bahr, of International Falls, and James Van Hoven, of Madison, both friends of the groom.

Readers were Dawn Green, of Monroe, sister-in-law of the bride, and Jeanne Anderson, of Apple Valley, aunt of the groom. Eucharistic ministers were Judith Christenson, Grand Rapids, Minn., aunt of the groom, and Michael Anderson, of Apple Valley, uncle of the groom. Altar servers were Sienna Preuss, of Wisconsin Rapids, and Angela Wuerger, Algonquin, Ill., cousins of the groom. Giftbearers were Amelia Wuerger, of Algonquin, and Todd Christenson, Grand Rapids, godparents of the groom, and Steve and Julie DePauw, of Geneseo, Ill., godparents of the bride.

The groom, groomsmen, father of the bride and father of the groom, ushers and the ringbearer all were attired in classic black tuxedos.

The groom's parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Bonnie's Restaurant in Monroe the evening before the wedding. The bride's parents welcomed reception guests after the ceremony at Turner Hall in Monroe. Guests were served hors d'oeuvres featuring Wisconsin cheese products and home-brewed beers. Following a champagne toast and a dinner catered by the Rathskeller Restaurant, wedding guests enjoyed an evening of dancing.

Jake is a 2003 graduate of Falls High School and a 2007 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison's College of Engineering. He is a mechanical engineer specializing in design at Kuhn North America, Inc., of Brodhead.
