The bride-to-be is the daughter of Billie Tessendorf and Scott Tessendorf, both of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Maternal grandparents are Judie Hintzman, Monroe, and Jerry Hyde, St. Johns, Mich. Paternal grandparents are Cheryl Kint, Freeport, and Paul Tessendorf, Madison. Her paternal great-grandmother is Joyce Tessendorf, Lena.
The future groom's parents are Dave and Teresa Murray, Marion, Iowa. Maternal grandmother is Eleanor Murphy, Mt. Vernon, Iowa. His paternal grandparents are Bob and Sherry Murray, Marion.
The bride-to-be graduated from Prairie High School, Cedar Rapids, in 2006. She attended Kirkwood Community College and is employed as an administrative assistant at Rockwell Collins, Cedar Rapids.
The groom-to-be is a 2006 graduate of Marion High School, Marion. He later attended Kirkwood Community College, where he graduated in 2009 with an associate's degree in architectural technology. He is employed by Nelson Electric Company, Cedar Rapids.
The couple will be married Oct. 15, 2011, at First United Methodist Church, Marion. A reception will follow at Knights of Columbus.
