MONROE — Better Brodhead and the Monroe Public Library will host a viewing of “Screenagers: Under the Influence,” a documentary addressing vaping, drugs and alcohol use for teenagers. The event will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Sept. 7 at the Monroe library.
The film is aimed at parents and grandparents concerned about their child’s screen time.
The “Screenagers” filmmaker, Delaney Ruston, picks up her camera once more to examine the impact of the digital age on teen’s decision making in relation to substances such as vaping, alcohol and drugs. The film explores the latest research and learning more about the personal experiences of teens and families. The film highlights the changing landscape of the substances themselves, offering solutions for how to best empower teens as they face decisions about what they will and will not be influenced by.
