Fireworks, face painting, arts, crafts, sports tournaments and an animal petting zoo were just some of the activities to be enjoyed at the 2023 Monroe Parks and Recreation 4th of July celebration at Twining Park. The traditional American Independence Day celebration brought in more than 1,000 visitors to the park and surrounding areas to join in the festivities and catch the fireworks.
