FREEPORT - "Last of the Red Hot Lovers," a Neil Simon comedy, opens Saturday, Feb. 5 and will continue Thursday, Feb. 10; Friday, Feb. 11; and Saturday, Feb. 12 at the Winneshiek Playhouse, 228 West Clark St., Freeport. Performances are at 7:30 p.m.
The play is about a middle-aged married man who wants to join the sexual revolution before it is too late. Three ladies vie for Barney's attention.
The play is directed by Freeport actress and director, Vicki Hooper.
The role of Barney Cashman is played by Todd Barr, a familiar face to Winneshiek audiences, most recently seen in "Leaving Iowa." Lynn Jones returns to the Winneshiek stage to play Jeanette Fisher; Karen Sample, also last seen in "Leaving Iowa." plays Bobbi Michele; and newcomer Dawn Degenhardt plays Elaine Navazio.
