Place elected to leadership seminar

SOUTH WAYNE - Katie Place, a sophomore at Black Hawk High School, was elected by her teachers and other staff to represent Black Hawk at this year's Hugh O'Brien Youth (HOBY) Leadership Seminar, to be held June 6-8 at Edgewood College in Madison. Place will join more than 200 other sophomores from across Wisconsin to participate in unique leadership training, service-learning and motivation-building experiences. Founded in 1958, HOBY is an international organization with the mission is to provide lifelong leadership development opportunities that empower individuals to achieve their highest potential. She is the daughter of Pat and Kelly Place, South Wayne.
