NEW GLARUS — The Friends of the Chalet of the Golden Fleece, along with 12 downtown area businesses, recently announced its 2021 New Glarus Wine Walk Fundraiser scheduled for Oct. 8.  

The Chalet is a unique three-story house museum featuring a predominately Swiss collection, but with items from all over the world. Experience the Chalet’s whimsical and eclectic collection before it closes for the season. The following businesses participating are: Brenda’s Blumenladen, Earthship Treasures, Hawk’s Mill Winehaus, Hutch and Hide, Lollygag Antiques, Maple Leaf Cheese & Chocolate Haus, Railroad Street Boutique, New Rose, Rusty Raven, Sisters, Sugar River Shoppe, and A Well Worn Story.

The Chalet’s Wine Walk Event features local wines from Baileys Run, Hawk’s Mill, Minhas and other domestic and imported wines along with unique shopping experiences in downtown New Glarus. Enjoy a wine tasting, browse the shops and socialize with friends, while making new friends and supporting the museum and local history.

The museum opens at 4 p.m. Registration is from 4-6 p.m. at the Chalet of the Golden Fleece.

Wine Walk is 5-8 p.m. Door prizes will be announced by 7 p.m. that night.
