NEW GLARUS - Family, Career and Community Leaders of America members at New Glarus Middle and High School went to Oregon High School Feb. 12 to compete in the FCCLA Regional Competition. These members competed in Students Taking Action for Recognition events, which have helped to increase student leadership, community involvement and community service.

Students advancing to the state level will continue to improve upon their projects, and will present them in April at the state competition. Thirteen New Glarus FCCLA members competed and 12 competitors advanced to the state FCCLA Leadership Convention that will be held April 9-11 in Wisconsin Dells. Eleven students earned gold medals, one earned a silver medal and one earned a bronze medal.
