MONROE — On Dec. 2 Monroe High School students participated in the annual Finance and Investment Challenge Bowl (FICB). This year’s competition was held virtually against teams from Middleton and Sun Prairie high schools.

FICB is a series of regional tournaments conducted across the state from November to March and culminating in the state championship. The objective of the FICB is to provide financial literacy education and create better future household and business money managers. FICB is sponsored by Asset Builders.

Monroe High School students demonstrated their knowledge of financial literacy, accounting, economics, business information and current events by winning first place and the consolation bracket. Monroe Team No. 2 will advance to State competition in the spring.
