MONROE - The Monroe Chamber of Commerce and Industry has recently added 2004 Monroe graduate Kelly Haworth to its staff, filling the role of a student intern from May to early August of this year.
Haworth is a senior at Trinity International University in Deerfield, IL, about to complete her last semester as an English Communications major, and has experience and training in both writing and graphic design. Over the summer months she'll be assisting with the basic office duties, writing press releases, contributing to the Balloon Rally, and performing other tasks as needed as she completes the required internship for her major.
"I'm really excited to work with and promote the Monroe community over the summer months, and use my years of education in a real job setting."
Haworth will be available at the Chamber on Tuesdays and Wednesdays of most weeks.
