MONROE - Monroe Garden Club will meet at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, on the second floor of the Behring Senior Center. Memorabilia and photos from the past 50 years will be presented. To commemorate the club's 50th anniversary, there will be a decorated cake. Members are asked to bring any photos, memories or items they have to present pertaining to the 50th anniversary.
Plans for the club's spaghetti supper hosted by Pizza Hut will be discussed. The supper is from 4 to 7:30 p.m. Sept. 23 at the Monroe Moose Lodge. Adult tickets are $7 and children (ages 4-12) are $5. The majority of the proceeds will be given back to the community in contributions.
