MONROE - The Monroe Fund, a local charitable organization, is now accepting grant applications for projects that serve the greater Monroe area.
Projects may include enhancement of parks and public spaces, historic and cultural preservation, youth activities and facilities, education, the arts, and health and human services. Applications are accepted from nonprofit organizations only. Requests from individuals for personal projects or needs are not allowed under the federal tax laws.
Applications for the fund must be received by 4 p.m. Tuesday, April 15.
For application forms, visit www.cfsw.org and click on the "Open Grant Applications" page. Application, plus one copy, should be mailed to the Monroe Fund, P.O. Box 733, Monroe, WI 53566. Successful applicants will be notified the end of May and will be awarded at a reception on Monday, June 9 at the Green County Courthouse. Grantees must use their grant within one year of the award.
