NEW GLARUS — Guests were overjoyed to be back at the Monroe Clinic & Hospital Foundation’s Annual “Little Golf” event, held on June 15. It was a beautiful afternoon of mini golf that led into a night full of generous giving for a great cause.

This year’s a “Little Golf” and Grill was held at Swissland Miniature Golf in New Glarus with dinner following under the tent at Chalet Landhaus Inn. This year, the event raised over $60,000 due to countless heartfelt donations provided by community members and businesses.

“It was so special to have our Monroe Clinic Hospice supporters back together at this year’s event,” commented Jane Sybers, Monroe Clinic & Hospital Foundation Executive Director. “Even after a year apart, the guests’ excitement and dedication to supporting Monroe Clinic Hospice services in our community had not waivered.”

Unique to this year’s event was the honoring of longtime volunteer and avid Hospice supporter, Sybil Teehan. Teehan was intricate in starting Hospice and Hospice Volunteers at Monroe Clinic.

“Our hospice volunteers, especially Sybil, are passionate about the work they do,” shared Nadine Patchin, Monroe Clinic Hospice Volunteer Coordinator. “It seemed like the perfect moment to pause and recognize all the ways they share their time and talents to our patients and their families.”

A special thanks goes to the event’s Founding Sponsor, Hans Lenzlinger and family, for all their generosity. The Lenzlinger family graciously underwrote the entire event, resulting in all the dollars raised going directly to local hospice services.
