MHS forensics compete

MONROE - On Saturday, Jan. 31, 24 members of the Monroe High School Forensics team competed in the DeForest High School Invitational Meet, earning a third-place finish among 22 teams. Four Monroe students earned top honors in their categories: first-place performances were given by Reuben Arnold (Extemporaneous), Clarissa Liimatainen (Four Minute), Haley Sinklair (Oratory), and Nicole Heinen (Solo Acting- Humorous). Gail LaVoie finished in second place in the category of Farrago. Individual finalists included Alyssa Quinn (Demonstration), Hannah Hull (Poetry), and Patrick Gellings (Prose).

The MHS Forensics team will next compete in the Badger Conference meet on Saturday, Feb. 14 at the Baraboo High School. The team is coached by Holly Steger and Todd Trampe.
